I remember I have been playing this game as a kid back in 2006-2007 on Xbox Classic. I was 9-10 years old back then, and it was so scary I feared to play it in the dark :D. Sometimes I still have nightmares about this game, even though now I'm 22 years old, and it's doesn't look too scary anymore. These cinematics scenes are still dope though, I wish they would made a movie out from this.
It's Amazing how far the PS2's Limits were pushed by these Final Dev Efforts to keep it alive before putting less Effort on downgraded games to Emphasize Phasing out the PS2 for the PS3 Generation.
I see a minor inconsistency in HazTeam Delta in this cutscene and in the actual game. In the game, they have blue markings but in this they have yellow markings. :P
This is REALLY old, but I felt the need to respond watching this now. If you notice, the guy who trips pulls out a desert eagle. This trailer was made before the game underwent changes. The original demo for Area-51 had a totally different assault rifle and a desert eagle for the handgun. This was probably made in between the switch of the assault rifle and handgun (They are using the proper assault rifles in the real game instead of the demo ones, but the demo handgun - desert eagle).
I doubt it would be a disaster at all. Valve know how to create an immersive experience, they know how to write characters, develop worlds. People who put film makers on elite pedastals demonstrate a lack of understanding for the craft. Valve has also been doing short films for quite awhile now. Their TF2 videos, the L4D intros. They have experience with scripting, camera work, and telling a story. They're very good at it by now, and have a number of very talented writers on their staff.

They need to remake this game. It was underrated and minor gameplay tweaks would make this one of the best FPS games I've ever played.

There was a GI Joe modular toy assault rifle that looked very similar to their assault rifles...I thought I WAS Delta man let me tell ya haha.
I used to be super impressed by the machinery and the sound it makes when the Theta stasis pod gets dropped in the control station

Unfortunately no. And I doubt there will be one, taking into consideration the fact that Midway was defunct somewhere around 2013.
I doubt that the US will make a remaster :D but there is a nice mod that helps with widescreen and the horrible FOV
