I was fortunate enough and privileged,having got a last minute ticket, to be at this wonderful fundraising concert.. sadly for the sudden child death organisation. A family near where Alma lived then there in England had put their little boy down for a nap, but he never woke up. All the performers in the concert were local children, some very young, some older from the area who were studying music at third level. The family of the little boy who organized it and we're there. There was a wonderful closeness at the event, beautiful home bakes at the break.. and the small country church it was held in added to the lovely atmosphere Alma had invited Amira to come and perform and both she and her family were there. All the children mixed and played outside with each other in the sunshine and the adults chatted and it was a beautiful and memorable day there and raised a lot of money for research.

Amira, born 27 March 2004, is a year older than Alma who was born 19 February 2005. This performance was on Saturday 12 September 2015. Amira was 11 and Alma 10
Lovely. There are a couple of other videos of the pair of them, Ave Maria is one I think, but the recordings are made on phones, so are not high quality. I believe Alma's father is Austrian, hence the non- English surname. Her mother is English, and she grew up here. She learned violin and piano at a very young age, 3 or 4. There are a couple of nice videos where she asks someone to choose 4 musical notes from random, out of a hat, thinks for a minute or two, and then plays a classical piece based on the four notes provided. It's an impressive trick. Thanks for reacting to this video, it's delightful.
Yes I totally agree, those two are born with divine talent. It's a pity the church accoustics were so bad. The previous year (December 2014) they sang this duet in Switzerland for a UNICEF gala. Amira had less than one hour to prepare, this was Alma's idea to surprise the audience. In the opera, the singers are supposed to sing badly because they have no talent. Those two can't sing badly though.
