I was the tallest, the back of the line, crying uncontrollably. The next year i go to where my new class lined up in the school yard, saw my friend John from the year before already at the back of the line, stood behind him and said, "It's okay, John. We don't have to cry. We're in second grade." He looked at me, like, dud, i wasn't the one crying last year.
