Yuga, Maha Yuga, Manavantara, Kalpa, Ahotram - Fully Explained
The word Yuga in Sanskrit means an Era. As per Hindu cosmology, a Yuga means the ‘age’, ‘period’ or the ‘phase’ of earth.
There are four Yugas, in the order as Satya Yuga also known as Krita Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga and Kali Yuga.
As per time on earth, Satya Yuga last 1,728,000 human years, Treta Yuga lasts 1,296,000 human years, Dvapara Yuga lasts 864,000 human years and Kali Yuga lasts 432,000 human years.
Each Yuga is progressively shorter than the preceding one, corresponding to a decline in the moral and physical state of humanity. Since the Hindu notion of time is circular rather than linear, the universe is considered to be in a continual flow through these four periods of time. As time progresses from stage to stage, human society degrades to a level lower than before, culminating in the destruction of the existing order at the end of the Kali Yuga. After this, the blissful Satya Yuga begins anew. According to the prevailing Hindu calculations, we are currently living in the Kali Yuga (Dark Age).
These four Yugas together form a MahaYuga. One MahaYuga is the sum of all years in Satya Yuga, Treta yuga, Dwapar Yuga and Kali Yuga. Therefore, One MahaYuga has 4,320,000 years. This duration of one MahaYuga is often known as the Yuga cycle.
Seventy-one MahaYuga or Yuga cycle form one Manavantara. Manvantara is a Sanskrit term that results from a combination of words manu and antara (manu-antara or manvantara), literally meaning the duration of a Manu, or his life span.
On the whole, there are 14 Manavantaras and we are currently in the seventh of the fourteen Manavantara, which is ruled by Vaivasvata Manu.
These 14 Manavantara together make one Kalpa. A Kalpa means Aeon or ‘Day of Brahma’. These two Kalpas, one day and one night of Brahma together make one Ahoratram which means ‘One complete Day of Brahma’. 360 Ahoratrams of Brahma Dev make one Brahmadeva year and 100 Brahma Dev years is the total lifespan of one Brahma.

Wow.. I really love big time scales because it can make more sense than what we currently know in beginning Kali yuga with no reverence to preserved hindu history. It's even written how big an atom is or the smallest measurement of time. In this partial destruction, the lower (Patal planetary system of demons) + the Bhumandala up to Svargamandala (SvargaLoka) is destroyed. this is accomplished by Ananta-Shesha through great heat. The residents of MaharLoka (it lies above SvargaLoka) then ascend to even higher dimensions like JinanaLoka, TapaLoka and SatyaLoka as MaharLoka gets too hot. Hare Krishna! 🙏

71 mahayuga = 1 manvantar
14 manvantar = 1 kalpa
Ramayan happened 12 thousand year ago
Mahabharath happened 5000 years ago
And now we are in 7 th manvantar
My question is
1) does in every mahayuga ramayan and mahabaratha repeats itself
2) also if yes for the above then repetition of ramayan followin every manvantar
Not just ramayan and mahabartha what about stories & facts from our 18 puranas also repeat in every mahayuga and manvanthar …. And is vishnu avatar happens in every mahayuga ?
I have read that in end of every satyug or dvapar yug one sage writes the Purana with completion of each yug,doesnt know about Ramayan and Mahabharat because the old history books of Nalanda library was burned alive and it was such a humongoua that it took 1 full month to be fully burned

I think it won't be repeated, coz you can see in that list of manavantars, that in each of them there is a different saptarishi and indra. Bali from this manavantar is the indra of next manavantar. This means that in each manavantar, there may be different stories and avatars of lord vishnu.
@@vaibhavsoni9667 yes but there are few rushis or ppl who have come from many manvanthars become saptharishi or Indra…. Also the 18 puranas gives the view of life creation on earth from swaymbhu manu …. And swaymbhu manu grandson became manu of one of the manvanthar like Tamas manu ….. if manvanthar have different events happening what about 71 mahayug ? Mahayuga consist of 4 yugas repeated for 71 times …

The narration is awesome as always and well described. But what im confused about is the time scales. As its known that ram setu was built during dwapara yuga (known for the time period of lord ram) but as per recent research on ram setu, it is said to have been built around 18,400 years ago which doesn't quite add up to the calculations mentioned. Any thoughts on this are welcomed.
It is much older they cannot claim that it defeats evolution theory yes you will find this . They claim by the pressure yes the indus valley(is to be geographically said by foreigners or say human who have take birth in farther regions ) is now scuentist acclaimed more older as said earlier by few .
It is possible that the bridge was repaired many times after Shri Ram. Dating of bridge can't be considered as dating of Ramayan.

6. Current Stage of Kali Yug :- Bhor ( Morning Dawn , this good and Dharmic Period is Kali kaal ) I.e. Only Approx 5200 Human Years passed out 10000 Human Years of Bhor Stage of Kali Yuga - Remaining Kali Yuga :- Approx 427000 Human Years

1. Lok :- Bhumandal Lok (8th Lok From Bottom and 7th Lok From Top )

The list of Saptrishis which you have shown in your video is not 💯 correct as in your list,there is no mention of krishi Agastya,who was a Saptarshi and in your list, Rishi Kashyapa's name is mentioned in seventh Manavantar but he was a Saptarshi in the first Manavantar and Rishi Kashyapa is one of the oldest or earliest Krishis and he is the father of all demons, devtas, Nagas, so how can he be present in seventh Manavantar? Just think.

No. As it said, shiv ji is invoked every time cycle ends. So he is endless as well. Refer shiv puran.
Shiva is nothing but Vishnu. They are not different. Vishnu creates Brahma and Shiva destroys everything after 100 Brahma years. And repeats the process.
Actually, after the death of each manu, when each creation happens, sometimes brahma is described as the supreme sometimes vishnu and sometimes shiva. For eg if you read shiv purana, it is described as brahma and vishnu arrives first and questions who made them and lord shiva said that he made everybody while in vishnu purana, brahma is born from the navel of vishnu and shiv ji is born from the eyes of brahma making both brahma and shiv child of vishnu.
Actually all of them changes there position in every kalpa, right now in our kalpa the story of vishnu purana where braahma is brom from vishnu's navel and shiv from bhramha's eye is TRUE while in previous kalpa the story of shiv purana was true

Rigveda 4.58.3 says:
"Four are his horns, three his feet; two heads, seven hands are his" (Jamison & Bereton translation).
If you take the hands as meaning sunya (zero = 0), it means 4.320.000.000 years, the duration of a Kalpa, a day of Brahma.
If you take it to mean numbers, it will mean 4.320.000 years, the duration of a Maha- or Chaturyuga.
The Brahmanas feabled about the duration of the night of Brahma being of eaqual length with the day, but that was a false understanding. It just means his rest after the creation.
The basic unit is the length of a precession cycle of the earth of 43.200 years before 33.500 BC, when according to Berossos the Tretayuga ended prematurely in a great flood and simultaniously according to the Hindus the Chakchusha Manvantara. The length of the cycle results from the multiplication of the unit Saros (the computatiomally duration of the sun in one constellation of the zodiac) of 3600 years multiplied with 12. That his statement is reliable is proven by the calendar on the sungate of Tiahuanacu which shows the calendar before the flood and which is identical with the calendar in Rigveda 1.164.11 - 14.
This ancient cycle of the precession is also the basis for the calculation of the Lifespan of Vishnu, who is identical with the constellation Orion and is said to live 100 years. 100 * 43.200 = 4.320.000 years, which means one Mahayuga.
This is the reason, why the end of our Kaliyuga is described as the end of a Kalpa which would mean total destruction through fire and a new creation.
The Hindus think that this will be long time ahead, but as well as they don't realize that the duration of the Treta- and Dvaparayuga of our Mahayuga were shorter as they should have been, they also don't realize that according to Rigveda 5.87.4b and Mahabharata 3.189.33 this Kaliyuga will end when Vishnu (the constellation Orion) finished his third step, which astronomically will be about 2500 AC the case.
What happens after the 14th manavantara? does the whole universe get destroyed by shiva and the first manavantara begins again?
After 14 we souls of current bramha will finally get rest from rebirth for next cycle.
We will only come back again after whole new 14 manvantara.
Till then we will relax in heaven and can watch every thing.

This whole concept (of yugas as well as manvantaras) is no more valid! The seventh Manu Vaivasvata became Manu after the flood which also ended the Tretayuga untimely because the sixth Manu Chakchusha obviously died in that flood. According to Berossos (who used the Surya Sidhanta as one of his sources) the Tretayuga of our Mahayuga ended after only 432.000 years in the great flood which he dates at about 33.500 BC (though the calculation of the movement of the constellation Orion in the course of precession leads to a date of 36.500 BC). According to the Rigveda and the Mahabharata our kaliyuga will end when Vishnu has finished his third step, which means the second upwards movement of the Orion which will end about 2400 BC. That means all the Yugas after the Kritayuga of our Mahayuga endet or will end faster than expected.
According to vedas Bhrama also has death because there are countless Bhramandhs with countless Bhramas in universe Govern by Almighty the Supreme "THE ONE GOD" Always living .
False! The Vedas don't say something like this. It is said in the Puranas.
