@marknucita8284 no it's not the chain. It's not rattly, more tappy than rattly but the chain has been done with invoice from the garage I bought the car from. 👍
@marknucita8284 thank you, glad that comes across. It is tough, just very time consuming moving cars around and getting to and from places. There's always a long to do list 😁 thanks again for the feedback, really appreciate it 🙏
Great video as per usual highlighting the highs and lows of the trade a few more lows atm though. Good thing you got the woman off your back she would drive me mad any time, you need a sale or 2 to give you a boost again which i hope comes soon....Cheers Pal and good luck.
When I was valeting cars I always used 1001 in the wet vac on seats and carpets. Was much better than anything I could find at the time. As for that CMax right choice to give the refund. It's already taken too much time need to shift that on regardless even if it is in the trade. Get shot of it, no point chasing money on it, mark it down to experience and keep the stock moving. Just binge watched your videos Dan, after finding your channel on my recommendations 👍🏻
@paulk8888 thanks bud, appreciate your comments, welcome to the channel. I'll try the 1001 👍 I've tried various ones from dedicated car shampoos, vax carpet shampoo and at the moment I'm using a cheap £1.89 bottle of astonish from B&M which has been as good as anything else. Appreciate the comments on the C-Max but it genuinely is a good motor, I really don't think there is a fault on it, if there was I'd fix it. It owes me £2500 now, selling at a loss at 1995, in the trade I'd probably get less than a grand for it. I'd rather just keep it and use it myself or as an occasional courtesy car. I'm not expecting a profit on it, but it really would make a good car for someone. Glad you enjoyed watching the videos 😊
I was gona say other option is to use that as a courtesy car if you don't need the cash flow. I know exactly what you mean as would most car people but soon as some people see an EML or similar they think it's on its last legs. Loved valeting but it became uneconomical as more and more friends asked me to do their cars. Always loved seeing how a car can be transformed with some care and attention. Probably showing my age with the 1001 cleaner, and go to car polish was Mer. Wishing you all the best 👍🏻
@paulk8888 cheers, yeah I've used Mer for many years. My neighbour used to use it when I was a lad, he had a 309 goodwood GTI and it was stunning. I use all sorts but I always have a tub of Mer and a tub of autoglym in as my go to's
@DanielGallivan-qt3fz I wouldn't know what new products are available now. I'd never use any other polish on my cars, those ones with the colours in them are a bit of a gimmick, nothing wrong with T-Cut on dull paint
When i had a corsa forever changing heater resistor under the glove box, need to be double jointed to sort it out, while your doing that, check the cabin filter as its in the same area
Another great video. If that lady had kept the car, she would have expected you to fix every little problem for as long as she had the car. Good talking on the phone to you. Hope the resister fixes the problem.
@Concorde-AXDN thanks for the advice, really appreciate it 🙏 hopefully going to be down there more regularly when I go part time in a month or so, you'll have to pop in and I'll get you a brew anytime👍
Glad you decided to refund her the money. She would have been a "Nightmare" as long as she had the car. Good decision. Although you took a Hit. But you can sleep a little better. Now. See you in the next one. Cheers 👍👍
@AndyPipkin-dj8sy too far in now unfortunately, it's had a service, MOT, tyres, cambelt and waterpump, plus.£500 ish wasted on failed diagnosistics. Think I will have to sell it cheap to the right person with a known fault and cut my losses.
@@mikehudson537 I have one as my daily, 2.0 TDCI, had it 6 years, never had a problem, been a great car. Love a Mondeo, good engines, massive boot, nice to drive.
@mikehudson537 yes C-Max is based on a focus, S-Max is based on a mondeo. The 2.0 TDCI engine is the same as the one that's in my mondeo. You could be right with the water ingress into the BCM/wiring.
@@DanielGallivan-qt3fz Yea, think its something daft like screenwash gets pumped up into the BCM (seen it go straight into the ECU too, which is mounted on the back of the washer bottle which is a crazy idea to begin with if you ask me!) its a 5 min job to check yourself mate, unplug all the connectors but remember where they go or take a photo of it all 1st then unclip it and have a gander. Failing that, the actual clocks, speedo etc suffer with dried out solder on the main boards that cause electrical gremlins, there's a company down south that you send them to and they re-solder it all for you quite cheap, fingers crossed for you mate, would love to sell cars myself but no parking and funds are the issue!
@mikehudson537 cheers yeah was just having a read up on it, seems to be an Mondeo issue more than a C-Max issue, but it's still a possibility. Think I'll shelve that car for now, concentrate on other things and come back to it.
Good luck this week. You've prepped the cars really well. Hope you get a couple of sales.
@JC-hu1wd thank you, really appreciate it 🙏
Before you mentioned the chain on the Corsa thought the chain sounded noisy
Hope it is not the case

Enjoyed the video, stressful times it can be.Sometimes its best not to have a customer, than having one like that woman.
Ref c max has the DPF injector been changed that was the fault on my Mondeo .
Hope you get to the bottem of the C max fault

Don't buy a Mondeo from 2007-2014 mate, suffer BCM problems, very common, very expensive to sort!
Thinking about it mate, i'm sure the C-max shares the same issue. have the BCM looked at for water ingress.
