    Another shoutout to Oliver as Kygo’s ‘Higher Love’ and ‘Like It Is’ also use the Oliver 110 Hi Hat loop in the drop.

    Followed Oliver for a decade loved their unique approach making stuff sound so authentically disco. Spent years trying to get to that level. Now that it’s available for any producer I feel like the art to getting that sound is gone. The fact that it’s so accessible now means what made Oliver unique is no longer unique. But he could cash in on it so why not? Perhaps I’d do the same. No one at fault just the process of the world and evolution. Can’t say I’m happy with my favorite unique producer swag becoming the most common sound ever now but hey…it’s forced me to get some new influences I guess.

    By a considerable distance one of the best set of packs out there - I have never needed something involving drums, consulted Power Tools and walked away empty handed, just superb.

    Making Loops:
    - Keeping it simple
    - "ready"

  • @aaronbazil
    @aaronbazil ปีที่แล้ว

    With so many great sounds and loops, the only thing modern artists have to do is the songwriting itself: lyrics and good vocal. The rest, if you're really lazy, can be copy and paste loops from these incredible packs.
    And I've heard top hits with kinda copy and paste without changing anything... but they had great songwriting underneath them. That's it!
    I see the same in the filmmaking world too: a lot of TH-camrs now have ease of access to high-end gear, at an affordable price, but what's still missing is still THE WORD. Great screenwriting.
    Very few can master the last bit. Those are the ones who make it (not all the time, if we include the politics etc). That's where YOU should spend your time. The writing: songwriting or screenwriting.
    Heck, even AI will be able to help with that too, soon!

      Don't understand your point of view. What are the "wrong" and "right" ways?

    • @g.hmusicc
      @g.hmusicc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      listeners wont give a shit if you made it from scratch or it’s from a loop. if a loop sounds like the idea in your head then why waste time make it from scratch. and if you want to make it from scratch, then idk, do it?? no one’s stopping you lol there’s no “rule” in music. if it sounds good, it sounds good.

    • @jonathan8963
      @jonathan8963 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      nah i agree. i feel like it takes the personality out of the production. no wrong or right way. but i'd personally prefer to do things from the ground up 🤷🏽‍♂️. i'm not just making music to be serviceable enough to get played, i'm trying to create something that feels like me.

    • @evieatarax
      @evieatarax 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@jonathan8963 you don't have to reinvent the wheel to be original. everybody borrows something, why not samples and loops? it doesn't make sense for me to buy out studio time and buy a drum kit just to be able to make disco.

    • @rashid5271
      @rashid5271 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i mean your song idea makes the song not the hi hats or drums or some loop , a lot of songs use the same samples but some of them get viral that answers your questions
