Don’t really understand why a lot of people here expect perfect quality from a free educational video. Okay, the Sound isn’t perfect but the explanation is way better than anything else I’ve seen so far and I was still able to watch the whole 32:29 minutes without my ears bleeding. How about you just appreciate the content and stop feeling so entitled?

      Confirmed.

It's not the sound that matters. What matters is the quality of the work done.
Just because these tutorials are free doesn't justify a lousy voiceover.
Do it right or don't do it at all!

the sound isn't as bad as people say in the comments... The content is good and to the point.

Yes, me too. I feel the same. I guess these people are from USA or England. They are not used to accents.

@Z80 If audio quality was good I would have no problem with accent.

being a non native english speaker, I was focusing on the course till the end without noticing any ears killer, then I saw this comment, I replayed the video to see what could it be :D

Try to listen to their super hyped marketing guy. Now that one is really unbearable. But I agree. For me it’s not the accent, but the sound quality. But that will be easy to fix. The content I find extremely useful though.

It would be really nice for such a big company to have videos with corresponding sound quality and presentation without so many language mistakes. I'm not a native speaker so I have nothing against an accent while speaking but other aspects really should be improved (e. g. mic quality). It is impossible to keep watching this for 30 minutes... Maybe using artificial voice would be better. And I recommend to get a language corrector for presentations. Otherwise than that the content is nice and well explained.

Interesting tip that [in practice] cooperative is more stable and better behaved than preemptive.
It might prove valuable for me, I feel.

Any chance of adding subtitles to these videos? The first couple have autogenerated subtitles available which are useful. The speakers in these videos are quite difficult to understand.

If the quality of this video represents STM then all is lost.

Why is this video called FreeRTOS introduction? It doesn't introduce Free RTOS, it is a beginners class on how RTOS work. I know how RTOS works, I want to know how to do this using STM32 Cube MX and the IDE. Please provide this detail.

i wish the presentation was used more effectively instead of being just a background for talking about the subject (to make it easier to visualise)

I am just wondering; Why FreeRTOS and not ChibiOS?

    • @stmicroelectronics
      @stmicroelectronics  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

We have started with FreeRTOS quite long time ago and now we continue. In fact within the video we are presenting CMSIS_OS layer, which can be used with other embedded OS.
