Very nice video. thanks for sharing! It is very interesting to see how complex is an Oberkochen binocular compared with the Jena models. Now i understand why most of the workshops do not want to service the Oberkochen models as they claim they do not have all the tools or knowledge.
I dismantled the hensoldt diagon 8x30 binoculars and also dismantled the prisms, and when I reassembled them, it appeared to me that there was double vision. What is the problem and what is the solution?
Usually, in roof binoculars, collimation is made in oculars lens. Loose the oculars ring and change the position of lens and try to obtain the perfet image. Or try to see if this roof model has excentric objective. If it has, you can turn the excentric rings of objectives. and try to find the perfect image. Try these methods and return no me.
Sorry, in porro you need to try to collimate in front objetive rings. If you do not get it, you will need to try to change the prism position. Will be a trial and error process.
@@BinocularsbyVogel A wonderful method. I tried it on my binoculars and faced some difficulties, but I will try until I reach the correct result . Thanks 😊
Bitte antworten Sie. Ich habe eine Manufrance-Lampe 8 * 30 Saint Etinne Ist es mit Zeiss-Leuchten kompatibel und kann ich die Teile online bestellen und bei meinem Hersteller einbauen?
Are you talking about prisms? I could not understand. If it is about prism, you need to have the exactly measures of the prism. You need to know that this prism model is a peculiar model, the prism seems crooked . Very dificult to find it.
No, I mean, does Manufrance Saint Étienne match zeiss? I mean, can the parts be installed from one to another I have problem help me Please give me your Facebook account name
I really dont know. You need to dismount both and try to fit Etienne parts in Zeiss binoculars. I never open Etienne binoculars. And its depends on Zeiss model. Example, some 8x30 Zeiss are totally diferent than another 8x30 Zeiss. Depends on many things.
if your images (right and left) are little turned between then, you will need open the binoculars and turn the prism to correct this. If your images are correct in this aspect but they are misaligned , you need to correct this . In much models, you can turn the front lens in order to align the 2 images. The images need to stay side by side , and your eyes will join to 1 image only. To know if you images are side by side, you can blink right eye and left eye, alternately. Do that and turn your front lens. The perfect image will come. If your binoculars does not have collimation in lens, you need to find the screws, in order to collimate horizontally. If your binoculars does not have screws to adjust the image, you need to open and give more angle in prisms. Dificult to explain, sorry!
Thanks for the reply, i will have to open up the bino and try adjusting the prisms, i have already corrected the objective lenses and i can get the image to line up, so must be the prisms. I have some nice binos, 12x50 nobilem spezial by carl zeiss and few 8x30 carl zeiss jenoptem all in excellent conditions. Cheers

Yes, if they commit any error, they wont obtain the same piece for change. The prisms are diferent, are asymmetric.
