Hey Kevin! I don't use Wise at all. I have a checking account with Charles Schwab and just pull out from ATM as needed. It's pretty close to market rates for conversion.
@@DavionTravel - how do you handle the larger transaction such as a two-month deposit for a condo rental? Are you handing the owner over a thousand dollars worth of Thai baht?
@@kevinp8108 For larger transactions, it's still cash. You can withdraw quite a bit from the atm at one time or bring cash over to convert. Nowadays, you're only able to get a Thai Bank account if you have a work permit.
@@DavionTravel Thanks for the tip! I’m a dual Thai-American citizen so I should have no issues opening a bank account but I won’t until I relocate there in a few years. I will be in Bangkok this October! I’m very excited.
Mail rooms all look the same. Would be nice if you spent the time showing any laundry room with the number of dryers. Not all complexes have laundry rooms. It's a deal breaker for me personally. Not a fan of using drying racks for weeks worth of laundry. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not a fan of the 60fps look as it's too realistic and looks weird to me so I keep it at mainly 24 fps for the "theater" look.
Sorry but they should have saved the money they spent on the lobby on the units. Just saw one today half the price, and a lot nicer with tons of amenities. Cheap cabinets, tiny balcony, cheap looking bathroom. Plain walls. Not worth the money. Seen several nicer for a lot cheaper.
Yeah definitely but also depends on the location as well. The further out you go out from the center, the cheaper rent gets. Were the ones you saw duplex/loft style and where were they located?
If you have a good set of dumbbells, that's all you really need for a solid workout. I do agree the gyms can be designed better. Newer condos are starting to incorporate more gym priorities into their design
Pretty boring area.. but hey if sitting in traffic jams in cars and in your condo is your thing its Perfect . And fyi Bangkok us more SAFE tham most western city's.. especially american city's
I don't find this area boring at all and there's no traffic jams when the BTS is right there. I have no issues getting around. Boring is relative and it all depends on what you're looking to do. Yes Bangkok is very safe. Where have you been in the USA?
I am sorry dude but this condo is horrible and overpriced. The "high ceiling" is high only from the first floor, on the second you have in fact a pigeon hole. It is also very dangerous because if you were to slip or stumble you run the risk of falling straight down. The bathroom is tiny and claustrophobic. Final touch, the "balcony" is a joke.
Not overpriced for the amenities and area. Yes you can find cheaper but it all depends on your priorities. Definitely not a pigeon hole. I walk and move around just fine and that’s why it’s a loft style. You’d have to be very careless to slip/stumble.
@@DavionTravel Dude, what counts is that you like it, since you are the one living there, I just gave a try to wake you up from being delusional. The amenities might be nice, but in the end most people spend way more time in their apartment then in the amenities. And that "apartment" is in fact a pigeon hole. Yes, the "high ceiling" might help to perceive that micro tv area as a bit more bearable, but then you pay that back with interest by basically not having a separate and comfortable bedroom and ending up sleeping in a even worst pigeon hols in the ceiling. And yes, if you are careful you won t fall down, but your bedroom is not supposed to be a place you need to be careful of in order to avoid breaking your neck. . But again, to each one what he likes...I just find it funny to to see someone show it off like it was the prize...
@@Tech_Publica lol how am I being delusional? This condo is a studio, not a 1 bedroom apartment, and as a studio, it's similar to studios across the world. Have you seen studio spaces in NYC, LA, Barcelona, etc? No one expects studios to have an enormous amount of space. Like I mentioned, you must be very clumsy and careless person if you think you're going to fall down or have a fear of falling down. That's like saying you're going to sleep everywhere you go like malls and places above ground floors that has railings to protect you. When I lived there, I had no constant worries or thoughts about being careful because I go about living normally. You do realize you can break your neck slipping on regular ground right? And how am I showing it off as a prize? It's a condo tour

First! Hello from the Bay Area! :D I'm moving to BKK this coming spring!
How's it going! You'll love it here. Good luck with the move. What's your favorite thing about BKK?

Your place looks great! I love the living room/office with the view!
Thanks! Might stay at this place long term but we’ll see. Have to find a good lease lol
Wow, beautiful views of the skyline Nice building.
Yeah it’s really nice especially being able to get a 360 view of the city
Thank you for showing nice home😊
You’re welcome!
How's the soundproofing of the rooms? A lot of the newer "luxury" buildings have horrible soundproofing!
The sound proofing has been alright for the unit I'm staying in. Aside from the occasional loud people in the hallway, you don't hear much.
thanks man!
You’re welcome!
Nice looking condos. Thanks Davion. Are there many coffee shops within walking distance of the condo?
Yes there are a bunch of coffee shops along the main road and inside the smaller soi
Nice video
Thanks for watching!
What's your go to platform/website for long term leasing? It would be even better if I could specify a loft/duplex style
I just use Google and also hipflat. They usually have listings. I had an agent help me which was super helpful
Hey great video, was thinking about moving in that building. Was wondering what the monthly cost of electricity with aircon use is? Thanks
It all depends on how much you use it and big your space is. Probably anywhere from 2-3K baht per month
Are there places to eat close by?
There are lots of restaurants in the area.
What floor is it?
What floor for which?
@@DavionTravel on this video ,this condo
He says it in the video, watch it
how is the noise
It's not bad actually. Only time you hear something is when a loud tuk tuk or truck comes though but it's very sparse.
Nice tour, it would have been useful to understand how close the MRT/BTS is to the complex.
BTS is only a 10-15 minute walk! super close

Why would you want to close the sliding door in the kitchen to feel safe?
I don’t close it but someone else could want to. It also helps block out the noise from outside and keep cool air in as well.
Because me for example I sleep the best when my brain knows I'm in a locked places regardless if I'm in Dubai or Afghanistan
Can I ask how do you get interim deal like this? Is is Air BnB? I am interested to learn about 1 month lease when holidaying. Thanks!!
Normally, anything less than six months will be through Airbnb.
Definitely can't get a deal like this for short term. For 1 month, you'll have to use AirBnBs.. The rates I found were for long term leases of a year
