I am contemplating buying a budget scope for a .22 break barrel air rifle for shooting at 50 - 75 yards.
Your review gives me something to think about so thanks.
Whatever you buy, make sure it's rated for a break barrel. I think break barrels recoil in the opposite direction and for most optics I believe it makes a difference. I'm new to all this but I think I have that right.
I'm looking at a Hawke Vantage 3-9x4 AO.

Use one of your targets there set up at approx. 25 yds…
Perform a very simple box test
with it…dial up, dial right, down & left the same # of clicks with each. I would dial at least 2 full revs elevation & windage. If crosshair returns to original starting position you are good.👍🏻
@@nightranger3430 ... I've seen the box test, but, I'm using a lab jack on the front of the rifle and it's not steady enough to perform test. I don't even have a bipod. Maybe in the future.

To set your Tourette’s back to zero you do not have to take out the set screws. You just have to loosen that bottom knurled looking ring underneath the numbers on your turret ring. Then set turret back to zero. Tighten the bottom ring back up. Your rings will then be locked in place . :)
The knurled ring is for locking, the set screws are for resetting. Thanks for the comments!
