The Ultimate Pixar Commercial Compilation (1989-1996)

- Whew! Here's one of my second channel projects that was in production for a REALLY long time, specifically late 2017 or early 2018. I have made this 50 minute compilation of every single Pixar commercial with some variants (with the exception of those two Toppan Printing ads and that Paramount logo) for the first time in 4K! The footage for almost all of these were taken from the Pixar: Made in Point Richmond DVD. Now this compilation is finally here for viewing!
For a better viewing experience, select the quality of the video to 4K (2160p).
Little did we know that in Toy Story 2, as Ham is rapidly flipping through the T.V channels to find AL’s commercial, many of these commercials including a few early Pixar Shorts appear as the channels they’re skimming through!
All to find the Al’s Toy Barn commercial so they can get to said store and get Woody back home.

You could totally see the creativity & personality shine through these animations as opposed to run of the mill ad agencies who happened to own CG software.
Pixar has definitely come a long way since then.

I love Pixar! They did a fantastic job making commercials! Maybe you could create a compilation of character interviews from Toy Story, A Bugs Life, and Toy Story 2 and an ABC Toy Story 2 bumper compilation!

Nice find, I've also remembered seeing a second of that ad in the Tv scene from Toy Story 2
It's neat to see how much of their ads had that early CGI vibe with their quaint, sparse visuals, slowly improving over time. Then out of nowhere the Cool Mint Listerine Swinging Bottle hit and blew away anything that had come before. Any of their earlier spots were doing more or less the same thing that had been done before with hand-drawn animation or claymation stuff, just with cleaner, smoother graphipcs. But the Cool Mint ad showed what CGI could *really* do, and it changed everything.

Pixar wouldn't exist now if it weren't thanks to these commercials and the aid of the Macintosh.
This is how the kings of 3D (CGI) animation got started before working with Disney bringing us the best 3D animated movies (and short films) ever made. And you’re telling me Pixar was responsible for these commercials and some segments on Sesame Street? (I already know that thanks to the bonus features on Pixar Shorts Vol. 1 DVD) I am intrigued by that.

Toy's R Us is Toy's Story. A bug's life is a VW Polo commercial.
Pixar's animated ads was made before it is a part of Disney since 2006.
They actually still use the Lifesaver's Holes rigs for training for the Animation Interns at Pixar.

When I used to watch Toy Story 2 as a kid, I would laugh my ass off when 18:41 came on during the tv scene because I thought it was toilet paper.

Those Bank South commercials did not age well. They were bought out by NationsBank, who would later be bought out by Bank of America.
