Not all adhesives melt especially if super glue was used to glue the phone together. If silicone based glue were used, when heated, it would be slightly tacky when separating parts from the chassis, but super glue bonds with whatever materials are stuck together with it, so when the material gets heated up, it expands & cured super glue does not, thus breaking its bond.

Wimdel81 You need to tear down the back cover and back housing before replacing the motor. The back cover and back housing are fixed by strong glue. It is hard to disassemble them.

Hi, this video helped me a lot! Thx! Subbed you. I already repaired some devices thanks to your video dis/assemblies. So I´m a bit experienced and it wasnt really hard to dis/assmble this phone. My Z1 has been damaged by water and coudlnt start anymore. So I put the logicboard into Isopropyl alcohol (100%). After two days i assembled it back again, it even started but the touchscreen doesn´t response anymore. I´ve already checked the digitizers flex cable. They seem fine. What could be the reason? Is the digitzer broken, or could it be caused by the logicboard? An advice would be very nice. The phone even worked after i´ve left diving for half an hour. It´s very odd.

Oh, everything went well. I used a hairdryer to heat the cover up, removed it carefully and glued the new one on the back. It was much easier than I thought :)

After the replacement the LCD works perfeclt, but the phone is not charging when I plug the micro USB cable, and alco the main camera is not working. Before the replacement everything was fine. Łukasz Skoczylas its the screen little lift up...change the adhesive of screen panel.....there some thermal pad there that allow the heat from cpu to the screen metal back panel.

The display is made up of multiple parts, most have the LCD, the digitizer/covering. So it's possible to separate the touch screen from LCD screen. As for Sony Xperia Z1, it's waterproof function makes this hard. It's likely to break the LCD screen when you remove the touch screen.

Faris AlMiqdad Don't poke the LED or it will not waterproof. It is glued to the LCD supporting frame. If the LED gets loose, the water will damage the motherboard directly. Just try to pick it up by a needle.

I don't know why, but the battery in my phone was glued to the back cover. It snapped the flex connection when I was trying to remove the back cover and stayed attached. I managed to remove it, but I don't know if it dammaged the connection when it snapped off

Ok, I've done. I'VE used an hairdryer and successfully removed from the metal frame, then with the same method installed to the new metal frame without glue, just hot hair and the piece is solid like before

David James Only when the phone is replaced by the professional with original replacement parts, can the phone be waterproof again.
this was replaced by Sony i paid £300 for the phone and it was repaired twice with Sony for free, still useless

kev5525 For repairing the vibration, you have to open the phone. DIY repair can be risky. If you have no confidence, send it to repair.

They are different. Even if you're careful, it is still possible to cause damage. But to remove the motherboard can help reduce such danger.

So if i was to do this i would need new glue (adhesive) to reassemble to phone together ?
If you could do a reassemble video that would be great....my phone won't switch on, it vibrates three times and then shows its charging....it won't even do that without a charger so i'm looking to replace the battery

The display is made up of multiple parts, most have the LCD, the digitizer/covering. So it's possible to separate the touch screen from LCD screen. As for Sony Xperia Z1, it's waterproof function makes this hard. It's likely to break the LCD screen when you remove the touch screen.

the LED notification hole,it`s a dust trap,it is so DAMN difficult to clean,I tried cleaning it with a toothpick but it broke and a piece of it got stuck in there too,I searched online and found some talk about how using something rough can break it`s water proofing,you`ve got any ideas and info regarding the matter?

Faris AlMiqdad Don't poke the LED or it will not waterproof. It is glued to the LCD supporting frame. If the LED gets loose, the water will damage the motherboard directly. Just try to pick it up by a needle.

I don't know why, but the battery in my phone was glued to the back cover. It snapped the flex connection when I was trying to remove the back cover and stayed attached. I managed to remove it, but I don't know if it dammaged the connection when it snapped off

I have xperia z1 but have some problem with it. The simcard are detected but there is no service. I hv tried the sim into another phone, it was just fine. Only with the xperia z1. There is no network. But the phone said that the sim are inserted. Only the service @ network not appear..
