I don't know why, but the battery in my phone was glued to the back cover. It snapped the flex connection when I was trying to remove the back cover and stayed attached. I managed to remove it, but I don't know if it dammaged the connection when it snapped off

Łukasz Skoczylas its the screen little lift up...change the adhesive of screen panel.....there some thermal pad there that allow the heat from cpu to the screen metal back panel.

Hi, this video helped me a lot! Thx! Subbed you. I already repaired some devices thanks to your video dis/assemblies. So I´m a bit experienced and it wasnt really hard to dis/assmble this phone. My Z1 has been damaged by water and coudlnt start anymore. So I put the logicboard into Isopropyl alcohol (100%). After two days i assembled it back again, it even started but the touchscreen doesn´t response anymore. I´ve already checked the digitizers flex cable. They seem fine. What could be the reason? Is the digitzer broken, or could it be caused by the logicboard? An advice would be very nice. The phone even worked after i´ve left diving for half an hour. It´s very odd.

Hi few days ago my phone heted up (70%) and when i looked at it the battery became 8% i put it in contact with water the flaps were 100% off but i let it to cool down. When i connected my charger the battery wasnt charging. I turned my phone off. The phone started to charge but suddenly it just booted it self up but the phone stopped charging.when the battery reached 0% as phone shut down and the led indicator was a solid red after few hours i tried to boot it up the phone didnt respond(no vibration) and the red led was still solid. I looked at the lens i found some moisture so i put the phone in rice for 24h the moisture is now gone but the phone doesn't respond some people said i must let it for 24h away from charger then i charge it.is that true or should i do this massacre (no offense) a d put the phone in rice for 3days?
The display is made up of multiple parts, most have the LCD, the digitizer/covering. So it's possible to separate the touch screen from LCD screen. As for Sony Xperia Z1, it's waterproof function makes this hard. It's likely to break the LCD screen when you remove the touch screen.

After the replacement the LCD works perfeclt, but the phone is not charging when I plug the micro USB cable, and alco the main camera is not working. Before the replacement everything was fine. Wimdel81 You need to tear down the back cover and back housing before replacing the motor. The back cover and back housing are fixed by strong glue. It is hard to disassemble them.
I have one just like this... My vibration stopped working yesterday.. Do you recomend me to open it and to try to see if there is anything loose in there?
My vibration was intead becoming heavy it was becoming more light To feel and it was making strange noises.. After 1 to 2 weeks it went out. I love sony products.. I hope the z3 wil be better

Ahmad Saqer You can DIY replace the phone with all the original replacement parts, but it may not be waterproof absoultely anymore. You'd better have the device repaired at the Sony service to ensure its total waterproofing.

the LED notification hole,it`s a dust trap,it is so DAMN difficult to clean,I tried cleaning it with a toothpick but it broke and a piece of it got stuck in there too,I searched online and found some talk about how using something rough can break it`s water proofing,you`ve got any ideas and info regarding the matter? thanks in advance
Faris AlMiqdad Don't poke the LED or it will not waterproof. It is glued to the LCD supporting frame. If the LED gets loose, the water will damage the motherboard directly. Just try to pick it up by a needle.
If you could do a reassemble video that would be great....my phone won't switch on, it vibrates three times and then shows its charging....it won't even do that without a charger so i'm looking to replace the battery

You don't have to heat anything up in this phone. Slimply slide the guitar pick is good enough. (0.6mm thick) My fav. phone to repair.
What was the temperature you warmed the cover up with?

Wimdel81 You need to tear down the back cover and back housing before replacing the motor. The back cover and back housing are fixed by strong glue. It is hard to disassemble them.

kev5525 For repairing the vibration, you have to open the phone. DIY repair can be risky. If you have no confidence, send it to repair.

Ahmad Saqer You can DIY replace the phone with all the original replacement parts, but it may not be waterproof absoultely anymore. You'd better have the device repaired at the Sony service to ensure its total waterproofing.

David James Only when the phone is replaced by the professional with original replacement parts, can the phone be waterproof again.
this was replaced by Sony i paid £300 for the phone and it was repaired twice with Sony for free, still useless

Hi, Dear Theydrewfirstblood, yeah, because the LCD screen connector is under the loudspeaker assembly. And remove mother board is for avoiding damage when heat and remove the LCD screen roughly.

the LED notification hole,it`s a dust trap,it is so DAMN difficult to clean,I tried cleaning it with a toothpick but it broke and a piece of it got stuck in there too,I searched online and found some talk about how using something rough can break it`s water proofing,you`ve got any ideas and info regarding the matter?

Faris AlMiqdad Don't poke the LED or it will not waterproof. It is glued to the LCD supporting frame. If the LED gets loose, the water will damage the motherboard directly. Just try to pick it up by a needle.

If you could do a reassemble video that would be great....my phone won't switch on, it vibrates three times and then shows its charging....it won't even do that without a charger so i'm looking to replace the battery
