I can't believe she just drops the needle like that. It's so disrespectful to the artist and record. She'll probably use the turntable once or twice, and then she'll just forget about it. LOL!

I have several records and I am going to say some tips, don't leave the records on the side. Stand them up. And they are fragile so don't stack them either. And the needle of the record player is also delicate. And when you put Matty on the record I screamed haha. Hopefully you didn't damage it. Ok have fun with your new record player! I have a Crosley one as well!

LPs or 33s spin at 33 1/3 rpm (revolutions per minute).
Most records from the 1920s until the late 1940s run at 78 rpm.
The little records used most commonly in old Jukeboxes are known as 45s because they run at 45 rpm.
The big old 78 rpm records only hold about three and a half minutes of sound per side.
We used to put our records on the faster speed so they sounded like the chipmunks singing!
