    Also what did you do other than weights like yoga and mobility

      I can't remember them all. I squatted and deadlifted a lot. I think I was most on my team most years. Can't remember exact numbers though. And I did just a little bit of yoga not much. Thanks for watching!

    i have a adult baseball team. i have a 19 year old player who is very very fast and plays CF. he has a strong arm, strong bat, can turn a single into a double with his speed... how can i setup a college recruiting video ? do i record him shagging balls, throwing to a cut off man, and have a runner from say 2nd to 3rd, or a fly ball hit to RF and him throw home

    I am not a ball player, never have been. However, would I be wrong in assuming that skill development is much more important in baseball than conditioning? Unlike many other sports like hockey, football and boxing, where all the skill in the world won't help if you're not super-fit.

    I find it fascinating that there’s still so much difference in philosophy of strength and conditioning coaches as it pertains to training. I know we’re all different in some ways, but we’re still human beings with generally the same physiology , so some things should be settled science.
    Same goes for nutrition... PB&J and milk was gospel for some time, but we now have better options (and I like a PB&J every now and then, but should it be a diet staple?)
    Terrific content by the way... this channel is getting addictive and I feel like I’m cheating, getting the inside scoop never having played.... hope old timers aren’t too mad with you for sharing “secrets”

    For some reason, I always imagined that each MLB player would have an entire staff dedicated to watching hours of his video footage, and tailoring very specific exercises to improve his strength, speed, stamina, mechanics, etc, in each aspect of his game.

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Completely fascinated by the amount of freedom it sounds like you guys had in the minors. You would think that organizations would put more money and energy into weight programs and meal programs for their up and coming players, especially guys who they've already put a large investment into. Just walk in and sign your name that you showed up?? That sounds like a HS program. Crazy.
