My doctor talked me into purchasing this serum as I was leaving my $500 Botox appointment... (I wanted a product for discoloration, hyperpigmentation, and those little red spots that hang around after the pimple disappears) I did not ask the price beforehand because I’m familiar with the brand, generally, and I knew it was a little pricey so I just went with it and didn’t ask... but when I checked my account a few days later, I noticed an extra $260 was charged from my doctors office (on top of the $500)... I pulled out my receipt and was BLOWN AWAY! That’s almost $100 over recommended retail price in the U.S... Lord, this better be the holy grail of serums... I have no problem spending $200-$300 on an amazing luxury product.. but anyway... hoping it’s basically a miracle worker so it will help me get over my bitterness and spite! Lol 😬😬😬 All that said, if anyone is thinking of purchasing from their dermatologist, plastic surgeons office, or spa, etc... find out the price beforehand and don’t blindly pay way more. Especially when there are so many more retailers selling it at the recommended cost. Don’t be me. Lol 😘

I would tell the Doctor about this. Not too nice after what you just spent on Botox. We need to be able to trust our doctors.
You should have promptly marched that 💩 right back to that unscrupulous “doctor.” Most doctors will charge market price and NOT mark up the cosmeceuticals they provide in-office.

As a result of city pollution and harsh sunlight, my skin got dull and got dark spots even though I tried many home remedies. My colleague suggested trying littleextera rice berry face serum. It gave my skin so fresh moisture and a beneficial mix of black rice water and vitamin C, which made my complexion better. Yes you can! Although a great benefit of the Vitamin C serum is its protective properties from UV damage during the day :)
Hi Trevor i also use it. I put duck tape around the bottle to keep it dark and i also cover the top when i open it to drop it on my face. It does oxidize very fast

I finally decided to bite the bullet and got this xD It's good! I prefer to apply a drop straight from the dripper onto my face areas though. Your palms will absorb quite an amount, especially if you rub them together I assume. I know thats how application is advised, but I dunno....it seems wasteful but what do I know xD
This is so expensive! L'Oréal own Skinceuticals. Paula's Choice also do a dupe of this which is much cheaper. My favourite is the Geek and Gorgeous C Glow which contains 15% ascorbic acid with vitamin e and Ferulic acid. This is far cheaper! It has a great texture and lasts for months if you keep it in the fridge.

What makes me hesitate is that the product does not come in those airtight pump things where air will not get into the product. They say their product is stable but why make it more sensitive by putting it in a flask that you open and let air in daily? Does not feel right to me. Also you says one can not be too sure about the freshness of the product after 30 days.. I would love som expert test this out!

Hi Sarah! I have head of it oxidizing on the skin or in the pores before. Unfortunately, that is the reality of vitamin c serums. If you love vitamin c, I would recommend trying a different brand that may work better for you.

Hi. I bought a bottle of this product from an authorised distributor in the UK for £125. Yet skin ceuticals are charging on their own website a price of £165. Why is this. All of the UK distributors are under cutting Skin Ceuticals by 25%. How is this possible.?
I've actually purchased one from The Skin Experts. Is it supposed to be a bit sticky after application?
I have dry to normal skin type, at first I didn't notice this but as time went on maybe after a couple of weeks I noticed that then I was left feeling slightly tacky on the skin. Use less or apply a facial mist before hand, add exfoliation to routine if not already. Or just don't use it as often

I tried using it as I didn't want it to be an expensive waste of product but it was tinging my skin orange like a light fake tan, so I stopped using it.

I definitely noticed a difference I’m not sure if it was the consistency of use or the formulation or combination with other products but I definitely notice an improvement with my skin. The glow, even tone, the brightness. I will be repurchasing this product for sure.

Hi, I have a normal brown skin. Right after I started using this, it makes my face tanned. I started using it at night, but from the very 1st night I put it on, my skin looks tanned. Just used for 2-3 nights. I don't know what happened with my serum, kept in a dark drawer in my closet, just opened a sample size. Pls help me

I love this product and it feels so good to put on my face but did anyone else notice that this product turns the palms of their hands yellow (that’s where I put it then I pat it onto my face) I’ve only had it for 6 days and bought it from derm store so it’s authentic and not oxidized at all, it’s just very odd…

In my experience the Timeless serum gave better results than the Skinceuticals one and it doesn’t oxidize as quickly.

Hi Valentina! It is normal for C E Ferulic to turn color over time and it is generally effective to use for several months after opening!

@@valentinaplacati4283 I wouldn't be so sure of using it after it turns dark yellow. it should be clear if it's new and can still be used until it's light yellow. If it turns brown or dark yellow there's only going to be little to no benefits and on some occasions, it might actually cause discoloration to ur skin! I suggest go file a complaint and get it replaced!

I have heard of these two vitamin c serums! I feel the best about recommending SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic as one of the best vitamin c serums because of the amount of research done on it. I always like to play it safe (and effective) when it comes to vitamin c but I do love learning about all skin care products.

Not identical but very very very close. They are cheap because those companies didn't have to invest fund to do clinical researches to find all benefits out. As a logical customer, I also buy timeless, which uses vitamin C, E, and FC combination which is heavily backed up by researches done by Skinceuticals 👌

Try to cover with your thumb on the bottle with the other hand, while you using the pump in the other hand.
