  • Dangerous take off from Paro Airport, Bhutan, Drukair, AIRBUS 319
    Paro Airport (IATA: PBH, ICAO: VQPR) is the only international airport of Bhutan. The airport is located 6 km (3.7 mi) from Paro in a deep valley on the bank of the river Paro Chhu at an elevation of 7,300 ft (2,200 m).
    With surrounding peaks as high as 18,000 ft (5,500 m) it is considered one of the world's most challenging airports,[1] and as of October 2009, only eight pilots in the world are certified to land at the airport.[2] Flights at Paro are allowed under visual meteorological conditions only and are restricted to daylight hours from sunrise to sunset.[3]

    they seriously have to fix that central pillar :)

      @Christin5554 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL that's what I was thinking. Maybe that's why he says "dangerous take off" because this take off is no more "dangerous" than a lot of others. Maybe the pillar is about to brake lol and that's why it is dangerous?

      Why does your Christian God need to bless this country? It's already been blessed by the teachings of the Buddha!

    Hey, nice video, I suggest you turn the stutter correction youtube provides off, it only distorts the video.

    Why was the top of the cockpit turning to jelly during the take off roll? Must've been very distracting for the pilots!

      The frame of the aircraft was bending? Surely the aeronautical engineers should be held responsible!

    And now maybe you can share with us what was so dangerous?
    I mean, how many people crash averagely in one year?

    I'm curious about the Engine Out Procedure they adopt. In case of engine fail at takeoff, what would be the departure procedure?

    • @AmineMecifi
      @AmineMecifi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If an engine fails, there isn't enough power to clear the mountains to leave the valley. The only option is to return to the airfield. They have a procedure for that.
