Since there was a Brazil reference in the video, I'd like to recomend a brazilian fishing channel "Fabio Fregona - Baca" so you can draw some inspiration from the variety of species the man catches. Hope to see some brazilian fishes as lures! Greetins from Brazil, love your channel, man.

I think when you are in the mood to do a detailed paint job you should make a mature Brook Trout. Lots of interesting colors and transitions on those guys.

Hi, Nate. I don't know if somebody mentioned it already but it seems in this video and the previous one the audio is very tilted to the left ear during the footage of you making the lures. Gopro audio seems to be fine. Great lures as always though

we'll call this your "breakfast cereal series" of lure making. you already made the fruit loops. what is next? the Minions Despicable, a Tony the Tiger, Sugar Pops Mouse, The Trixie Rabbit, Honey Comb Cowboy. you can combo Crunchy Nut and Capt Crunch to get Capt Crunchy Nuts and don't forget the California Raisins or Kermit the Frog, Puffins, mascots to name a few. the closest designing after the actual cereal that might work i think is shredded wheat, corn flakes and honey combs and lucky charms. check out cereals around the world.

I am amazed at the level of attention to detail you put into creating a lure of a bird that the fish in your area have never seen. But then again, I'm sure they've never seen an octopus or plane either. Just imagine the stories those fish tell at the local watering holes. "You're not going to believe this but I bit into an octopus this morning and boy was I surprised!"
Would be awesome as squawking Blue Jay or woodpecker. If my painting was good enough I would give it a GO. As always great stuff

Toucans are actually only found in Central and South America, hornbills live in Africa and are similar looking but unrelated

The burr bit (not to be confused with the cold water dwelling burbot) has to be one of the more underrated tools in the Marling shop.

I'll admit I had some doubts about the single wing being so large. And in the thumbnail I almost thought it was a walking bait. Lol. Very nice. I have aspirations of getting into some 3d printing in the future and I think one of the materials that can be printed is lexen polycarbonate and I can't promise exactly when but I'd like to make and send some 3d printed wings or legs or odd shape things for you to try. I'll contact you when I get the 3d printer up and running

Building one of these smaller to imitate a swallow would be pretty sweet. Hopefully if/when you make another trip south maybe you can get something like a tarpon on your toucan!

Amazing lure, but…”They come from Africa and Asia.” WHAAAAAAAT?!? That’s as far as you can possibly get from where Toucans live (Central and South America). Please fact-check the info. Wiki usually reliable with animal facts but occasionally they produce, what I would say, is a “fun fact”.
Silly and totally inappropriate ideas for baits: Dead baby, Baby Seal, Kitten, Lab Puppy, Lawyer, Nun, Wart Hog. Yeah there is a special place going to be made just for me in hell just for suggesting these. Please comment below your favorite inappropriate bait idea.
Toucans aren't native Africa & Asia. I always thought of them as South American birds but according to Wikipedia: Toucans are native to the Neotropics, from Southern Mexico, through Central America, into South America south to northern Argentina.

Actually the Toucans are only found in Mexico, Central and South America. Wikipedia says, “In Africa and Asia, hornbills occupy the toucans' ecological niche, an example of convergent evolution.” But that certainly does not make this bait any less cool!
Hold up how did you arrive to the conclusion that toucans were from Africa and Asia? wikipedia states: "In Africa and Asia, hornbills occupy the toucans' ecological niche", directly implying they are not from those regions. They are native to the Americas.
Maybe you could help bring awareness to the starving manatee population, in the St. Lucie/ Indian river, in Florida, by making a manatee lure…More than 900 manatees have starved to death in this river system this year, alone, due to depleted grass, from lake okeechobee drain-off.

You should prolly get saftey tape and wrap it around your thumb when carving I find it helps with confidence. Im sure you already know about this though considering how well you carve.
Hawaiian myth which has spread o mainstream America is that Bananas are bad luck to fisherman. If you have a banana onboard your boat, or nearby on shore you will not catch fish. I challenge you to make the most realistic looking banana lure, and either bust this myth or prove plausible.
Another lure request is a "Pickle Rick" lure. Find out if bass are "Rick & Morty" fans.

The videos are a lot more chopped up now there’s not much on the building you skim over that pretty fast now. Like no super glue baking soda over the lead holes. You were painting the grey and then it had a clear coat on it. Idk if it makes you happy then that’s fine but I don’t think you need to change the format just because you think it’s getting old. It’s not. That’s why people watch. And for your personality
