I've been jump training all winter and been practising outdoors where we could so far Got indoors and jumping on hardwood gave me like an extra 5-10cm on my vert so I missed a bunch of spikes 😂 felt like I was floating. Felt great to not have to contend with the wind or rain though 🙏
Hey Donny, I think the slowed clip at 7:25 really shows the timing stuff you were talking about this week during the Haikyuu episode. He was on his way down from being at the top of his block but still was in the sweet spot of timing to make the block.

I play soccer and there's a college team in our Sunday league, lots of amateur teams. They've beat everyone like 10-0, they hadn't stopped playing and everyone else had, and it showed. Funny to see the difference in that aspect between soccer and volleyball.
I only came for the haikyuu content, but took a chance with the volleyball content and now I'm here to stay :) keep up the good work and I hope you find more success and happiness along the way!

During the match were you thinking of haikyuu while playing and in your head saying things like “nice kill, blockout, or nice serve!” Because I definitely think of those when I play! Super awesome to watch you ball out and showing that being short doesn’t mean you can’t spike like a badass!

In 4:48 that block, did you tuck away your hands cause you saw the tool? And at 7:25 great block!! Coach had good blocks too! 16:50 nice pass/receive! Coach was really good all round player here. This is kinda like Karasuno vs Aoba Johsai.
This was a realy good video, but for next time can you put up a score bord. I am not so good at the game so it was sometimes difficult to keep up. Stil realy fun tho 😁
do you have video on improving contact with hits? I know improvement will happen with practice, but I dont know if there are any specific drills. also if there are any that someone can do by themselves that would be extremely helpful
I'm sad that in Finland we'll need to wait at least until September to play volleyball again.. Schools are closing for summer vacations and there isn't other halls available in our area than school halls :/ I wish they would keep them open at summer time too..
1st time seeing a real match with sound....i haikyu idk y but the ball seemed lighter for some reason but the sound here suggestes that its very hard to dig even normal spikes directly.....now i understand the blood coming from hinata's nose when he gets hit
