Dang, that is HUGE gains for top split! I love VRS, I have young kids and don't have time to practice hundreds of laps to find those last few tenths each week. The VRS telemetry has kept me competitive with the limited time I have to practice and race each week. Also, not having to fiddle with setups every week between new tracks and cars is great! Totally worth the $10 each month in saved time IMO.
That's the beauty of it - iRacing is great because it (in theory) guarantees the best return on time spent, and telemetry tools help guarantee the best return on that, in turn!
I can personally say also the VRS telemetry and guides are great, used to be hovering around 1700iRating,a month later got to 2300+won my first race in two years!
I've just started looking into racing with the knowledge of using telemetry - and will take a look a VRS.. Great vid! showing how much difference it can make to our lap times..
Oh I was doing so well first race back into season 4. Took pole position led the first 3 laps on the beginning of 4th lap back marker came out of the pits 4 turns later he spun right in front of me and then Bobs your uncle. I got back up to 7th after I got out of the pits at least so I still bagged 40 points. Sad day.
Thanks Dan, I appreciate it will vary slightly from car to car but if you could give me a baseline to work from that would be great as your cockpit view looks awesome maybe a video on your channel if you have time
Signed up for it, went to compare against there drivers and the times must be for wet laps in the open series, bit pointless, there's two to select from ("select a driver" section) neither say if they're open or fixed but both have slower times edit: it then says I require add-on APEX ACADEMY GT3 GT4 TCR WTF is this shizzle?
Was this for the Porsche Cup series? VRS also has alternative data packs available from Apex Racing Academy and Altus eSports that can be 'added on' for extra but you can filter those out in the view so they don't 'interfere'. I'll have a look in a mo to see what I can see
@@dannyleeracing OK I selected the one with a profile pic on it and it didn't ask for the add on thing but it still must the the open series with rain so it's pointless to compare to
@@JimbagJimster94 Yeah, I see what you mean - the pro (Zac Campbell) has put a note next to the data to state that it's Wet data, presumably because the open setup side is nearly all rain-soaked, but that's not much help if you were going for fixed series telemetry
@@dannyleeracing Thanks for looking into it, I'm new to VRS so still getting used to the UI, I found the data and his note and added feedback asking for them to do fixed series too. Seems a bit poor that they're not all over it.
No, that's totally fine to ask - THIS video isn't sponsored by VRS, but I have entered an overall partnership with VRS as mentioned at the start - that means that I do plan to start bringing videos to light demonstrating how I've used it, and in turn if viewers see the value in it, they may check out VRS for themselves. VRS in turn may choose to support me further if they see the value in that and I'm hoping that happens, as I consider VRS's competitive plan to be worth its weight in gold - I approached VRS to start that partnership, they didn't approach me. Please let me know if it's not clear or comes across as inauthentic - VRS, above all other things I've ever reviewed or showcased, is the 'product' I've actually used the most! For context, I'm releasing a VRS DirectForce Pro hardware review in the coming few weeks and that will follow the usual declarations that you'd expect as it would be 'hardware supplied for review'.
@@dannyleeracing Thank you for the clarification. You did briefly mention that you'd partnered with them, but I was unclear if you also meant that this video was sponsored. You're a good dude. I hope the partnership works out for you.
@@dannyleeracingjust a little observation, imo if you included this in the video - it would make a great difference, because right now it seems like a sponsored video, and these videos don't usually get trusted. I wanted to skip it first, but came to the comments eventually.
Worth mentioning, this is for iRacing only at this time I believe!

*Thanks for the amazing video Danny!!!*
I signed via your link on your last video. Have not had the time to set it all up but I’m super excited about it. Thanks for sharing
Im digging these racing videos. Didnt know it was this indepth.
It's crazy that the solution to being slow is almost always to brake earlier.

Hi Dan,
Would be able to share your camera view settings please

so did you win the race then?
If it was a one off payment, I’d buy it, but I’m not paying monthly. Will continue to use Garage 61
Do they have telemetry for ACC?
Its not needed for ACC. You must just press brake with 100% power in this game every time you need to brake :)
@@ladislavtoth3578 guess you've never played it.
So... It is a Garage61 paid version?
I currently pay for a VRS competitor but its almost double per month....i think its time i try VRS 😅
