When his brother said dont be one of those fake heros, but when you realize that even though optimus might be fictional, his grace, wisdom, courage and sacrifice are very real and they live though us. Peter, you and Kevin convoy will go down as two of the greatest voice actors of all time

"Strong enough to be gentle" is both a perfect description of Optimus Prime and amazing advice for being a good person
No offense to the other voice talents who have voiced Optimus Prime in the past but Peter Cullen is by far the best choice for the characters. Just the sound of his deep tone as the Autobot leader inspires vigilance, nobility, and assertiveness.

I'm grateful that this story exists. I'm grateful for Larry Cullen's service and that he came home from the war and didn't lose himself. I'm grateful for his wisdom, and I'm grateful he had a loving Brother who actually listened to that wisdom.

His voice was and is the voice of my Generation, and he is still very relevant today with the morals and character that he instilled in Optimus Prime. Those ideals are timeless!
Whenever I am down or feeling low, All I have to do is watch and listen to the gentle, optimistic voice of Peter Cullen and he really revives my Heart and Soul and fills me with new hope.

I did not know that he did the voice for optimus back in the 80's but now it makes sense why his voice was so perfect and at the same time makes me think that when he dies Optimus Prime will also die with him because no one else will be able to voice him like he did

Optimus prime.. its not a odinary name its a symbol of leadership. A true friend and a commander of autoboats.. who have watched optimus in the voice of peter can understand its importance. Just the voice if u listen to it with close eyes. U can feel the struggke of him the tragedy of optimus life but still he try to save his friends . Maybe he is not the strongest but definatly he is a prime and it is earned.. so best fir this voice it brings us leadership glory and positivity ..it inspires us to do what we are afraid of.. thakns a lot peter and OPTIMUS PRIME....

Peter is a true legend. He is humble, and just a truly amazing human being. He was the voice of my childhood and I will always respect this man. Definitely a hero of mine. Optimus Prime was and STILL IS someone that is a great role model and without Peter as the voice, it just wouldn't be the same. He IS Optimus Prime. Period.
The irony is that thanks to Bay's crappy directing, Optimus does yell a lot and his character in Age of Extinction is almost bully-ish. But I love Peter's voice in TransFormers: Prime and he will forever be my hero. :D
Hiya H It's not so much as his directing that's solely responsible, but the writers. Still, we owe Michael Bay our respect. Both him and Hasbro heeded the voice of the fanbase, and brought the one and ONLY true voice of Optimus Prime back.

@@michaelcartwright8570 To be fair to the writers, at least regarding the first film, the writers' had their script significantly changed by Bay when he came on board. He added many of the signature "Bayisms," many new scenes featuring tons of explosions and violence, and new lines of Optimus being a bloodthirsty murderer, none of which were in their original script. Some of the writers even had problems with this and spoke up to Bay about their concerns, but were largely ignored. Bay fired the entire writing team when doing the second film onwards, writing the sequels basically by himself... and yeah, we can see how that turned out.
That's one of the reasons why Prime is so iconic.
