Better sounding version of RVox?! And it’s free😳. Also a free emulation of Distressor which hopefully more easier to the cpu. I knew I could count on Sage Audio for hidden gems🙌
It would be interesting if you used as examples of application of vocal plugins singers with good voices, with good vocal range and with good dynamic range. Usually you use people who practically speak in a monotonous way, without using a wide register, with voices very poor in harmonics and without expressive or dynamic range.
As an audio engineer… the reality with vocalists is that a lot of singers are just alright… and you have to work with that and put in the work to make the vocal sound great. Obviously, in this video he hasn’t really compressed, eq’d, or tuned the vocal. So, it sounds very raw. He does this so that we get a chance to hear what sound the plugins are imparting on the vocal, with no other processing changing the vocal tone. I do agree with you though. It would be cool for him to show all the plugins with the raw vocal and then the fully mixed vocal at the end… Sage Audio is always one of my go-tos for industry advice, plugins, and just overall learning. They really deserve more following!!
4:45 I don't think that Bertom Vocal Compressor is a "better _sounding"_ version of RVox, it's actually almost 100% identical. He did ditch the gate and added the HF sensitivity parameter instead, but that's about it. The best thing about it is that it uses less CPU and you don't have to deal with Waves (which makes infinitely much better than RVox)!
Can you recommend any VST plugins for adding more harmonics in the low end? Kinda like the Air plugin by Slate digital but instead of Highs and mids it effects the low end
Thank you for showcasing the plugins. I do have a problem with these clickbaity titles doe. I cant find one single plugin, you showcased with a nice example or in a type of way that undermines the word „BEST“ and why its good. Just some feedback, because I think yall are making amazing videos. Keep it up🤟🏻
@5:30 create an accout just for that delay vst ? I need to enter a username, password, repeat the password, my first name, my last name, my email, my street address, zip code, city, country, state, choose between personal or company account, click on "I'm not a robot" and, I suppose, receive an email, login, do a check out, download... and after receiving too many emails from them, try to unsubscribe.... doesn't worth it for me thanks......

For testing on vocals I would choose a more melodic vocal than the monotone one you used.
Start ur own channel n do it urself lloron
Thanks so much for another awesome video with great content. I find your videos extremely beneficial and value your insights.

Though that is the reality of being a mix engineer...you will probably come across some bad monotonous vocalists at one point or another 😅
Exactly-I don't get it. I understand how popular rap\hip hop whatever is but jeeezzz, Pick an actual VOCAL with a real singer.
I didn’t want to comment on this, but it hurts to even hear it

Agreed. Appreciate the videos but I’d love to hear these applied to something musical.
That vocal is brutal

FETCB by Anolgy Obsession
VPre-72 by Fuse Audio Labs

The comp on Lofi Oddity is unusable
Beautiful channel, great presentation, but your "musical" examples are quite low tier, not giving justice to your work.
what is the point making a video about free plugins and dont have any link to download it ?
Lazy ass foo just Google the name of each one smh . U foos be crybabies bout this shit
Use google!
THUMBS DOWN...NO LINKS ITS 2024....SMH
Refract isn't free
not freee???????!!!!!!
Terrible choice for TRYING to show vocal effects. You see, to do that, you need a SINGING vocal, not a talking rap.
Cry about it
He switches up the example frequently between videos don’t stress
