If you think of the game as the FE SMT crossover it was meant to be, it's total garbage. If you take it as a spin off with no restraint then I love it.
It was honestly an awful decision for them to announce it super early and let people's expectations run wild and then reveal that it is nothing like what people would really want or expect. It really feels like they set it up to fail, and while I enjoy the references, it could have done a lot better as its own thing and if it was marketed correctly!
