  • This video walks you through our recommended cleaning process for the LifeSaver® Wayfarer™. We suggest regular cleaning of your Wayfarer™, as this will ensure you are getting the best performance from your product. Cleaning should restore flow rate and help prevent your Ultrafiltration Cartridge blocking up prematurely.
Be sure to watch the rest of our videos in this series of Wayfarer™ "How To" videos.

How often do you suggest to change the small filter, and also how often would you recommend to change the big filter?

Can you store the filter inside saline solution long term to prevent it drying out?

does this use the same thing as the lifesaver bottle or jerry cans to clean the water and what is the micron on this

Yes, all our products use the exact same hollow fibre membranes and so are equally effective. Our average pore size is is approximately 15nm or 0.015 microns. Thanks

so you dont have to take it apart and let it dry out real good if youre not going to use it for a long time?

Once the filter has been primed and used, the membranes must not be allowed to dry out. If the membranes dry out they close for good and won't allow any water to pass through.

Shouldn't the inside of the filter housing and filter be dry before storing?

Is it ok to leave the sterilizing solution in longer than 30 minutes?

Yes, at least 30 minutes to ensure it has worked effectively. Thanks
