Good detailed review. I bought the current Kings 3000w inverter generator. I can get the same with occasionally the LED globes flickering. I run a full size frost free freezer and fridge, Toaster, TV and 50 amp battery charger for one of the deep cycle batteries. I haven't tried larger compressers, etc. But the Kings generator manual says "The economy mode switch must be turned off for devices that need a large start up current, such as compressors or submergible pump". I wonder if that would help with your larger motor surge loads. I was looking at this generator as a upgrade and apparently quieter than the Kings 3000w. Also the lead acid batteries need to be put on a good maintenance charger or charged periodically. A bit annoying for a backup generator that might have the battery sit for very long periods. I rather not have one, I wonder if this generator runs without it, just using the pull cord.
I did find the 12 year old 1500w sinewave inverter I have running from lithium batteries to have more stable power output under different loads. I guess turning the generator off economy might improve that.

    Hi Mark
I have the erlier model, 3.5kva peak, 3.2kva constant.
I've unfortunately had a lot of problems with my unit from new, it drank oil until i put a 20w50 grade in, then it didnt want to run my air conditioner 1600w 6.4 amp, but I sorted the carby, then a little switch on the side of the engine started leaking oil but was fitted from the inside out (I fixed with removing the rubber, cleaning with brake cleanner and using silicone to seal it)
The entire time Outbax the company I purchase it of blamed me for the problems.
Said I was using the wrong engine oil, then not filling it correctly. They blamed the air conditioner and said it damaged the invertor board, when it was the carby.
With the leaking oil switch, they said no parts and I need to by new generator.
    Very sad customer service!.
But once i fixed it, it startes easy by remote or cord, hot or cold. Runs my air conditioner 2000w's and even my air fryer 2760w's.
You can try and send yours back, but they seam very incompetent in fixing anything.
    Good luck mate

Is this the same as the GTX4200 Pro? I can’t find anything on the net explaining if they’re the same or different? Google both and the exact same unit comes up on the searches. Struggling to find why the GTX Pro is $2500?

I've never needed one, but I would guess there'd be some amp-limiting motor-soft-start unit/s available. I've seen US 120v ones, but not 50hz 240v single phase ones. I haven't looked very hard though. They'd prob cost half of what the generator did haha.
Pretty sure if your motor is 8 amps running then it wants about 48 amps (x6) available supply for startup that doesn't have to significantly sag the voltage.

My Honda eu2 dips pretty hard to mate for example if the fridge and deep freeze kick in at the same time, the led lights we have on flicker, so on that front it’s probably not so different with the inverter types on motors starts etc. I also would like to add Outbax would have to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Got ripped off by them on solar panels purchased from them then ripped on them repaying the postage cost to return them. We will never deal with them again - they’re rotten. It a pity for it size it won’t power more as for its price there quick attractive.
