FMS 1400mm Zero Flight Review and debriefing

I own the original Airfield/FMS ZERO used in their Nitroplanes video and its still in very good condition. Its a very good flying plane. Very accurate scale outline and the cowl is made of hard plastic and very durable. It also had a very scale retract system. It was later used as chase plane when we shot the video for the Projet A-10. The A-10 having twin 70mm EDFs out paced the Zero.

Was watching some A6M Zero videos (and mine, love the 1400mm FMS zero) and had to watch this jewel again of the humble (and very entertaining) beginnings of the dynamic duo AKA the "RCAirTrainingCommand"! Capt. Mike.....Have you been hittin the saki? If you say no, I'd say your eyes are sayin yes...lol. You guys are the best. I enjoy Rc Pilots Lounge also on Sat night. Could you please tell me if you know if the zero had landing lights on the real aircraft? I just picked this gem up thats been sitting in the local hobby shop and would like to apply them if they had them. Tried everywhere and can't find a ting.

the motors i use in the fms1400mm series is nitroplane's 05a330-13-motor. this motor is found on the aerosky extra 330sc.

Anyone know how to get the cowl off? My motor loosened up and can’t get to the motor mount.

MrWarbird2 please post some pics of your plane on our facebook we love to see what other people fly. fms p47 is awesome check out the montage video the p47 sounds like a gasser. You know you cant explain how well the zero fly's, you have to experience it for yourself. thanks man.
hey mike question here ? you said that 650kv(nitro planes 05a 330-13) is a direct drop in for the old 4250 500kv motor what about the new 4250 580kv one that I have in my zero now will it still fit with no mods. tyvm glenn.
1976axerhand Yes it will fit, the bolt pattern is the same. The 580 FMS motor is about the same as the Nitroplanes 650kv motor. So I don't think you'll see much of a difference maybe a slight difference at best. If you have the old 500kv motor in, rip that puppy out and replace with 580 or the 650kv.

FMS shelved SO MANY nice warbirds! Damn shame...... they apparently decided their WWII prop driven aircraft fans weren't the crowd they wanted to keep. :-(
Really sounds like it could use a Dave Brown's Wheel upgrade! I hate that plasticky sound those wheels make on pavement. Other than that, I think this plane is a winner! However I do prefer the Tan color.
