I think the camera covering the hallway to objective B was placed in the wrong spot 😂 still though, you’ve helped me and my friends a TON in understanding the game and I love these videos! Your paint jobs on the figures are phenomenal!
Last camera alert shouldn't have happened ;) was facing the other way. Enjoying the series though mate, no-one on TH-cam doing lets play of it. Had my copy since release and prefer watching it to learn before and you explain it well.
LOVE SEEING THE GAMEPLAY. You've made the rules look really easy to understand. 6:039:1010:42 I think the Alert Token should've followed you one space more. This way they trail you a little more. 7:27 I think the Alert token would've followed you once the camera sees you again, but doesn't matter as you drew attention after that.
there is also one other mistake, which happens when a guard ends on a turning space, they go left or right if there is an open space, the left or right on the card only happens if both are available.
Loving these playthroughs mate. Really good clean presentation. Sorry to nit pick but i think you are moving the alert token wrong. Im pretty sure when you are in LOS of an enemy the token mkves with you until the end of your movement. So my understanding is that if you dash out of an enemies sight the token would end in your space. Not the space the enemy is looking at. Then if you move again while out of sight that is when the token stays where it is. Normally i dont think it would matter but there are instances where this can make a huge different to guard movement. Anyway thanks for showcasing this game.
Not a criticism because everyone I’ve seen play this does it wrong… but for future reference, when a guard finishes his move on a double arrow space, he attempts to find a new path as follows: 1. If a space is to the left or right, he turns to face that direction (regardless of what arrow is on the guard order). 2. If there is both a left and a right path available, only then do you refer to the card and face the indicated direction. 3. If there is no left or right available, you turn the guard in the indicated direction until there is an available path (usually just a 180 turn). As a side note… They also have LOS while doing this turn and an alert will trigger if a player enters it. This is the same process that is followed when a guard hits a wall for example, otherwise you’d always end up doing 180’s all of the time instead of actually turning the corner. Ref: ‘Finding a New Path’, Rule book p15. Also check out the example on p17 (the guard still turns left despite the card showing priority to the right).
Great stuff. I've only played the first tutorial scenario so far, but I'm really looking forward to playing the helipad. Hope you keep this playthrough going, you're making it look so fun and simple to play. Can't wait to see you tackle Ocelot and (hopefully) the rest of the bosses!
The LOS for the cameras isnt in a straight line? It would make sense because a straight direction would allow the camera to focus on the "entry ways". If the camera has a wide view, than no matter what color direction the camera is, it will see you. BUT STILL LOVE THE GAME AND WANT TO PLAY!
18:18 That camera actually did *not* see Snake because at that point in the game it was set to green, not orange. At least you still successfully escaped despite that mishap. :)
❤ Love it! Good job so far! Still waiting on my copy, if you would like to share the assets so I can get a tts mod up while waiting on my copy that would be awesome, if not I’ll just wait for mine lol. Either way id be down to do a play through on TTS once I get it up if you’re up for it.
Game looks fun. Thanks for the playthrough. One note: I don't think that last camera saw you. It was on green and you were on the orange side. Didn't matter though.
I think for the campaign it'll depend on how much you like reliving the game (which to be fair I've done plenty of times with the video game) but the VR missions are supposed to be the more replayable ones, I haven't tried those yet though

Great video man. I have played up to the 4 stage - Ocelot Battle so far, loving how well they have captured the essence of the PS1 game.
Dude, man! You are awesome!

Thanks! Yeah will have to remember they go around the corner

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't get that :)
This game looks really neat!
I feel like this would be a great concept for a video game 🤔
I was thinking that!
I didn't realize there was a MGS boardgame, and after watching you play this, i would LOVE to play this myself!
Great paintjob on Snake !
Sat here waiting on my copy extremely envious of you but thoroughly entertained. Great run so far, pal 👌

Good video! Looking forward to the third part. Somebody can confirm the size of a grid square?
I'm making 3d scenery while I get my preorder. Thanks!
More more. Really making me wanna get it
We should at least see a boss :D I'll have to paint some more minis first
@slickerdrips I heard the bosses are really good. Pllleeease keep this playthrough going

Question. Does snake’s life reset between stages or is that what rations are for??

Any chance of another game of slay the spire?
The game looks really cool and interesting, but do you think it has much replayability?
Thnks again for playing!
I don’t think it has tbh. Replaying won’t give you meaningful variation.
I think for the campaign it'll depend on how much you like reliving the game (which to be fair I've done plenty of times with the video game) but the VR missions are supposed to be the more replayable ones, I haven't tried those yet though
Any more coming? :)
There will be, painting some figures as we speak 🙂
This is great to watch, but man, it’s ok to sneak a little and focus on your turn instead of getting alerts every second turn
I think this is quite representative of how I played the video game too 😀
