I'd call him an anvil, at this point. He tapped out a vastly superior fighter with his strengths, which Koba was not far behind in. Brendan changed the momentum and stayed ahead, but it was still touch and go until that knee bar. Koba was going point for point, no doubt about it.

But like Rocky, each hit has to sound like a garbage truck hitting a brick wall, nobody is KO’d by an obvious KO hit let alone 70 of them, the bad guy has to have plot armor that fails at just the right moment to lose, and nobody is truly as brain damaged for life as the entire fight made it seem.

@@johnjungkook2721 dude... Fights are supposed to tell a story. If they had done this with just what would've "looked cool" then it wouldn't have had as big of an impact as it does. Brendan's fight with koba shows what he will go through to "not go backwards" (as he stated earlier in the movie) that why the line about not having a home is put there and why it hits so hard. Almost every fight in this movie has some plot/character significance and that's what made this so much better than "some mma movie"... If your fight scene doesn't accomplish anything other than showing two badasses duke it out then your doing fight scenes wrong... Weirdly enough look at Star wars. The prequel fight mostly focus on flashy fights, which are fun, but in the originals every battle has a purpose, to develop characters and portray a theme... You are fundamentally misunderstanding the purpose of this fight scenes and I suspect quite a bit of other ones

Way too many unanswered calls especially if the first round is supposed to be 5 mins. Even if not that other guy is tough for taking so many knees to the body not to mention two slams after that my lord that looks like it would've been on some kind fight night bonus for both fighters.
