The Second Succession War was the war that set up the proper setting for the table top game and it was the consequences of this war that made every conflict afterward trace itself back to the second succession war.
At least until the Clan Invasion disrupted the Succession Wars and the status quo of the Inner Sphere. Then, Comstar’s schism changed things up even further. Still, Pandora’s Box was opened with the First Succession War. No successor state would ever accept another government’s rule after that, and what the Clans never seemed to realize was that the only reason why the Star League (barely) worked was because they were just the militant wing of the Terran Hegemony which acted as a buffer state, and that’s why I think the ilClan is doomed to fail... besides the fact that Wolf already made tons of enemies over the years anyway. I did not know there were so many different ways to pronounce cadre
(Laughs in Spinward Deep Periphery) Minnesota is still out here... I mean, there.
With BLP gone, they probably aren't. The Claves arent canon, and some newer splats, sourcebooks and tech readouts hint that the Wolverines intergated into the FedSuns and maybe the Dracs. They also took back their last names.
@@ssjjshawn Can't imagine them joining the Dracs, not after raiding the prisons. ISF would have found 'em out PDQ. FedSuns makes more sense, but I can't recall a timeframe where the could have joined either. I prefer to think they are camping outside of Järnfolk space, just enjoying some Freedom.
@@Deridus I mean a Miio agent named "McEvedy" with all the other hints showing up in the Third Succession War in newer stuff suggests its more FedSuns they got into.
Which also makes sense when you realize that if they just disappeared again that was certain death. They had only a cluster of warriors, a few Thousand civilians, and a few crippled Warships and Jumpships. Which they couldnt repair, and they didnt have the tech or population to create a self sustaining colony. Even from what we know of the last jumpships path it still suggests integration mostly into the fedsuns. They are either dead or Davions at this point logically, from what we KNOW they escaped with thanks to the novels

I'm almost positive that they were integrated into ComStar, and thence became the Word Of Blake...
Is this in the playlists?
Yes, it's in the playlist in the correct place.
SO COOL....😊
aye yo Dawg, i can only watch the full 1st and 2nd Succession War comps like maybe 10 times in a row without new content, when's the next of the 3rd coming out mang?
When I'm done with MW5. Gonna finish uploading my playthrough, then there are two other vids I want to make on it, after which I'll get back to finishing the Third Succession War.
@@SvenVanDerPlank whelp! gonna have to re-listen to the first 3 again, then watch the Reunification War followed by The Star League Civil war then.
Great lore set boss, I find it hard to play strategy games without something engaging and fun on in the back ground
The Battle of Irian is a the stuff i live for in BattleTech. Then again I play FWL mercs so i coule be biased
Out of curiosity. Any units, mercenary or house, have impressed you over this entire project just for being stubborn bastards who wont die? Even after getting savaged
Good question but one I don't really have an answer for. Maybe I should do some statistical analysis and see which units have been involved with the capture/defence of the most planets.
@@SvenVanDerPlank Would be a fun "Notable Units" episode you could put together. Most victoroes, most defeats, most reformings
Only (Inner Sphere) Merc unit I truly like the Iridani Light Horse.
Snord's Irregulars, though, will always hold a special place in my heart.
McKinnons Raiders of the 7th Crucis Lancers on Kentares in Succession Wars 1 comes to mind. Damned good snipers.
@@Zattack19Probably Wolf's Dragoons and the Eridani Light Horse
Kick ass channel brother. When Im able, Ill be investing kickbacks for your work. Unless you accept home brew hot sauce as payments
Love the WarShip art. Can you share a link/source at all?
I used quite a few different images. Was there a specific timestamp you can point to? If so I can maybe answer what sourcebook I got it from.
The ones around 15:04 if possible. Thanks.
They're both from the HBS BattleTech game artbook.
Do you have a discord channel by chance?
I do not. I have my own feed on Big Red's discord where I always post my upcoming vids if that's any good to you.
@@SvenVanDerPlank thank you Sir
Cadre... Cah-dray ...not cotter)
Not in English
@@SvenVanDerPlank definitely in English)
Gotta give it to you) you obviously speak fluently more than one language. Unlike myself.
But, I promise you, if you conversationally say "cotter" in English it doesn't convey the word "cadre".

LCS Yo' Mama.
I got an 10 hours shift Saturday morning to assure the 3rd to 1st shift QC/QA transition. This should get me through it, factoring in pauses to actually do work.
EDIT - Blake did nothing wrong. He turned Space AT&T into true Scientology
Blake no...but his Successor did...Toyama especially
Glad to provide you a distraction from work. Hope it makes the day go quickly.
The Jihad is slowly getting retconned out of canonization.
What is this in response to?
@@SvenVanDerPlank some of the Renegade HPG interviews with some of the Key authors, Tex and Co. Unless I am wrong, which is understandable, the constant ridicule of the Jihad as unfortunate writing.
I'm just happy that some of the weaker writing is not going away, but is slowly getting phased out of the world setting.
Granted, I am running on 3 days of no sleep. So I'm fully ready to be debunked and I will try to adjust.
I mean, *something* has to be there to explain what happened to the Word of Blake at least.
@@cynicalcitizen8315you are 100,000 % wrong. Not only are they not getting rid of it, they're going back to the era to write more material in it.

LCS Your Momma?
Yo mama so large she requires orbital recon.
This is just further evidence that the BattleTech universe would be better off without humanity.
