    I carved a bear attacking a guy facing in the other direction, sitting over a log taking a dump for my train club in New Jersey. I guess that's kind of standard.

    I can’t understand why more people over here in England don’t use 0 Gauge the way we used to!! My first train set was a clockwork 0 Gauge system with a Southern Green locomotive and three blood and custard coaches.

      Some have speculated that WW2 performed a reset on the hobby in the UK (and much of Europe). When the industry got back on its feet, they decided to go with finescale.

    • @dagryffynhobby
      @dagryffynhobby 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always read it had to do with space limitations, You can get much more of the smaller scales into a given space than you can O. Or maybe that’s just general everywhere.

  • @Glum1964
    @Glum1964 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    That was an incredible layout! Wow! I’m new to all this, but the title says O scale, but the other O scales seemed like bigger trains. Was it my perspective? Thanks.

    Really good music jam....who did it?

  • @Madonsteamrailways

    Some of the freight trains aren’t as long as I’d have expected for an American layout!!

    • @RailRide
      @RailRide 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This would be a display layout. It's designed to run mostly unattended for hours on end. Long freight trains generally need to be watched unless the rolling stock and track they're running on is carefully vetted.
      A realistic layout is usually built by a club with the intent of simulating the operations of a full-sized railroad, such as local freights collecting and distributing cars to various industries, taking the collected cars to a yard to be sorted for pickup by a mainline freight to take them to other yards, where the process is reversed. These layouts, if large enough, are most likely to host trains of realistic length during operating sessions.
