We Put The Homestead Tractor to Work Clearing Our Piece of Alaska

- It's time to break out the big guns. Or moderately-sized guns! When our driveway pro comes in with an excavator and dozer, those will be big!
Before we get into today's video, I'd like to give the biggest shout-out to our new friends, Tarn & Adrianne at Coffey Farm! (And of course, Dave!) They are in Nenana, Alaska growing corn and other crops all while sharing their journey. They are so down to earth and we were very excited to finally get together! Someday, we will head North to visit the farm and will share it with everyone. Until then, give them a subscription! / @alaskacorn
Today, we moved the tractor over to the property and started putting it to work, finally began cutting and pushing trees into our brush-cleared areas, and working on dwindling the slash piles in a nice new fire pit.
This work will continue for quite some time, as we wait for the driveway guy to give us a good road in for the truck. Then, we'll probably work a bit more on clearing the cabin perimeter of trees and stumps and (weather permitting) maybe begin digging post holes for the foundation!
We also need to be putting in a pad so we can get a Conex in before winter but that is also going to depend if our driveway makes it that far before the ground freezes.
At the end of the day, we are fighting the seasons and frost! We want to get as much as we can before we hibernate and bring this baby into the world.

Definitely! We are going to haul some over to Levi's parents for this winter since we will have so much in our own stash for next!
