- What is the most expensive block or item in Minecraft? This video answers this question by comparing the estimated real-life prices of Minecraft items and blocks!

In this comparison video, we look at the prices of different Minecraft items and blocks! We will discover together how expensive these Minecraft blocks and items can be! From the prices of diamonds to emeralds, and from obsidian to gold ingots! How valuable is the diamond block? What items are super cheap?
Disclaimer: We did our best researching, but the data may still be incorrect or faulty. Prices may differ significantly in different regions, especially globally. So, the values in this video are just rough estimations! Inflation may not be taken into account.

To make this video, we made a selection of Minecraft blocks and items that exist in real life and of which we'd like to compare the prices. Then we looked on the web for which of those we could find sources for a averages prices. We tried to focus on prices in North America and Europe to make them somewhat comparable, though some of them still varied hugely if you go a few years back or look at a different country. We also couldn't find many reliable sources for some, and sometimes even no sources at all, so those blocks and items didn't make it into the video.
For anyone still wondering, I create these Minecraft comparison "visualizations" myself. I write a small program (I say the program, but it's basically a website) where I program the design and animations. Then I just let it run in Mozilla Firefox and screen-record the whole thing using OBS. Then I add some finishing touches (like background music) in Camtasia Studio, and there you go! A steaming hot comparison video is on the way. And it'll only take millennia to squeeze through my horrible internet cable and arrive on TH-cam's servers!

The heaviest thing in minecraft is still water as you can have literrary unlimited water from 2 m^3.

Yes but no. On the small scale diamonds are more valuable than emeralds, but on a larger scale emeralds are more scarce and softer. Finding large emeralds without some sort of defect is pretty rare, making large gem quality emeralds more expensive than diamonds.

And you can change the villigers trades. Btw there is 2 modes that you can edit it, 1 (is the one use) look at its code and change it, 2 a easy way to change the things, and maybe simpler. But I like to see the code, it makes it easier for me. And you can even make new biomes! And trees, but its like not as custom as you and I want it. But it still works.

Unless it is a naturally formed diamond block like the hope diamond but bigger, it would probably be worth about $50000. Diamonds are worthless unless you want to make a sharp and hard saw blade. Don't fall for De Beers groups trick that has been perpetually pushed for the past 100 or so years. Diamonds are very common, the only reason they are still somewhat expensive is due to the fact that 1 company group controls all the supply and therefore are able to trickle out diamonds, keeping the supply lower than demand to force diamonds to hold their artificially created value. If all the diamond reservoirs were put into circulation today, diamonds would be damn near worthless tomorrow. Look into it for yourself, it's a crazy story of how the perception of something can completely change its value.
Also I know this is a joke, just want to share the message about diamonds, as I truly hate that so many people are tricked into buying valueless diamonds because of a clever ad campaign from the 1800s.

Well, I stole "sand" and putted it into a medium-sized zip lock bag, I still have the sand and it's almost half-year old... I've been using it rarely but mainly for stuff like 3d pens and others
Water: can’t live without it for three days, dirt: more expensive than water.
I just did the math and a single stack of dirt is worth 838$ which means a single chest of dirt is 22596$ which means 2 double chests of dirt is worth a total of 90384$ which is insane.
