I'm self-taught and have played for many years. I've picked up plenty of bad habits along the way that have limited my abilities. Your lessons have helped me start to correct that. Thank you!
I loved these! That ejector seat exercise is priceless. I'll be working through them today for sure. I'm only 3.5 months into this journey so any good habits and techniques I can develop now will, I'm very sure, pay off in dividends later. Haven't learned to many songs yet but I am working my way around the circle of 5ths for major and relative minor scales and chords. Pretty much have the right side (sharp side) going well and have ventured into the left side (flat side).
As always this is a great video and I love the ejector button exercise. I am struggling trying to fit the melody of The Rose with broken chords and I’m sure your exercises will help. Thank you Leah.
Thank you so much for this video . I was actually wondering if I could ask you to suggest some exercises to make my hands cooperate with each other so that I don’t produce “ raindrop “ sound when they are playing the same note . So I shall carry on practicing this until the two hands become friends and move in step 🤣.
Great tips, Thanks Leah for making this tutorial. So once you have these patterns mostly under control, how do you apply these a piece of music that has bass in one hand and a melody in the other? It seems to me while playing a particular piece that one hand stops then the other starts but I need to them to work together to play different parts in the same song.

I just realized, I took the basics for granted. Thank you for this gentle reminder. Richard B.

You must have great helps in improv piano ie playing hymns in prov for congregation to sign to out of a hymn book
You just need to know your chords for that, Jacqueline! 😊

Hi Chiefman, just take it one measure at a time, or even half a measure, and as slowly as you need to, until it’s working for you. Best of luck 😊🎶
Good morning. Beware the Ides of March
Isn't mirroring natural to your hands
It is indeed, that’s why developing independence of the hands can be tricky!
