Funny seeing the Welkers walk around doing interviews from a secondary perspective
It was a busy day for a lot of you tubers and media people looking over the tractor.
We need btp to go to Montana and get a video with the welker's
They filmed theirselves talking and they forgot to film the tractor, thanks to Bigtractorpower to show us the first decent video about this event.

When the 747 was in Clarion they had the Welker’s video on the tire change playing in the background.
it was about 1980 when I made a trip to Dodge City Kansas to test drive 525 and a 400 horse big bud. It was a most exciting driving of my life. I always wanted one. My 8850 with triples had to do and it was a great tractor, but I love big buds. Eldon Warden was the big bud rep. Hope your well.

We were lucky!! Local markets held when we needed them.. had enough grain in on farm storage to be able to sell when the highs hit and live through it..
So glad to see they got tires. My wife and I went to Clarion to see The 747 a few years ago. So thankful Titan/Goodyear made some tire for it.

@@RJ1999x yes, they are not actually made by Goodyear, titan bought the production rights to the tires and they make them but were able to keep the tires called goodyear (not sure why tho)

Love the sound of that Detroit. Very happy that I got to see that big gal when she was here in Iowa. I'm looking forward to some video of her at work again soon. If anyone is curious, those tires are about $12,000 a pair. One of our neighbors has them on his Case IH 8230. Very informative commentary Jason. Good job as usual.

I have a small (20 acer) operation, am retired at 72 years old, but still enjoy being out, on my old (JD 3020) I have always enjoyed watching the largest Tractor in the world

About 8 miles from us, up in the hills, probably 20 years ago. Logging outfit had a big Terex dozer building roads.. definitely heard it!!

That is a good question on the ground pressure if I get to film it working out in the field I will make sure to ask that question.

Great video. Saw the welker farm video on the tires being installed. There was a link to order a 1/64 scale model of this tractor with the new tires on it signed by the owners. I ordered one to be sent this fall.

To my knowledge, the transmission would probably be the hardest to find. Detroit parts are most definitely out there, but twin disc parts not so much. I think the axles are Clark, so theyre out there as well

Also unlike most other tractors even the biggest articulated quadtrac style and combines usually only get singles of the LSW 1400 biggest ag Tire. The big bud seems to be the only one to get duals like this and they stick out so far it makes me wonder about the Hub and Axle Under full loading conditions if it were really used this way hard and for years.

That is one impressive machine and those tires on it they just finished a look at the tractor it looks so bad ass now I can’t wait to see them when they go back in the field And see what he can do now that’s got some fresh rubber on it it should work pretty good

It was in a tractor pull. They hooked two sleds to it and it pulled them right off the track into the grass. It never even knew they were back there.

You’re wrong. It was built to deep rip cotton ground in California and it did so for years. It’s going back home to pull an 80 something foot air seeder setup

it was in the newspaper that it has left Clarion destined to Montana . Via truck transport of course. That happened about 2 weeks or a month ago

I saw this first on Welker's channel and now here. I've always loved American tractors. Nothing compares to this beast. The biggest American tractors i've seen, as i'm from tiny Sweden, was a John Deere 9RX and that was a few years ago. Thanks to videos like this, i'm aiming to be the first one in Sweden to travel to the states and bring a Big Bud 450 to Sweden. It'll be a logistical mess, but i'm at least the first Swedish guy to think about it. I didn't even know i liked the Big Bud tractors so much. New Holland is still better, but Big Bud takes the silver medal. I'm thinking of making that journey next year because of the pandemic. I'll even see if i manage to bring a somewhat big Swedish tractor to the States. I will probably not bring the only existing articulated Volvo BM tractor with me, as that never got past the prototype stage and is quite small compared to the likes of the Big Bud 16V 747

Nah it's kinda the same as most people switching their combines from floaters to duals as its less expensive when a cultivator shovel or a horse shoe goes through them, we run 42x620 on most stuff except on the T9 with Smart Trax
It's big all right. Have you ever done anything on David Brown an English make. They do not fall into the Big Tractor category but when Case bought them out in '84(?) they were just starting to make bigger units. The shape of the Case 4890 discussed below, and many other Case models of that era derived their shape from David Brown. Its an interesting story
I like David Browns. I lived near a former David Brown dealer that was a New Holland dealer in the 1990s. I would really like to film an early Case David Brown 1410 or 1210. My slogan is I want to film everything for my Ford eight in to a big bud 747. I like all tractors and want to film them.

I have driven the 747. I got to drive it in 2007. It’s a monster.
It's the last of an era when equipment was built to last a lifetime it used to be when a guy bought a tractor he could use it the rest of his life now they're like the dashboard of a 90s pickup and all the wiring is going to become brittle⛽🇺🇸🤔
i do havea ps4 game farming simulator whti the big bud in it but this reallly puts it in perspective how huge it is

I have not had a chance to really be around LSW tires. They are supposed to work well in reducing compaction and improving road travel.
