Tui is designated "Putt & Approach" disc. RPM's own Simon Feasey putts with Strata Tui. If you like a domey, shallow, fast-flying beaded putter, then the Tui might be for you. But I much prefer a flat-topped deep-dish slow-flying microbeaded putter, and that is why I love my 2016 1R Atomic Ruru putting putter.
We sell a lot of Tui both wholesale and retail, but not too many people use it as a putting putter - it is mostly used as a midrange disc, due to the dome - which makes it more difficult for people to putt with the disc flat, as the back edge of the disc is lower in the putting grip. Because it promotes a nose-up putt (which is not desirable) it requires the user to apply extreme amounts of ulnar deviation to get it flying flat. IN saying this, there are plenty of runs and plastics which are much flatter than the Cosmic Tui.
What is a bit weird, is that the Ruru mould has the exact same dome as the Tui mould. But due to the extra plastic in the Ruru's rim, differential cooling causes the Ruru to pull down into a total flat top in both Atomic and Cosmic plastics. You can sometimes find a Strata or Magma Ruru which shows the dome the mould actually has - but these are pretty rare.
Because I live next to a public park, we often have Tui in our garden, and frequently hear them calling. Here's a bunch of Tui:

Very informative review, thanks! Currently taking the Tui for a spin as a potential cheaper (as a kiwi myself) alternative to the P1.

Thanks for the kind words. I haven’t used or reviewed a P1, so I’m not sure how it will work for you, but I’ve enjoyed them a lot for throwing, and recently picked up a Strata for longer putts. Definitely a fun mold.

Great freaking job dude. Excellent review process. Definitely try a Magma Soft Tui both as a putter and a thrower. It’s an RPM team classic favorite 🙏

I’m looking forward to trying the base plastic. I’ve always struggled with premium putters, but the Tui has been an exception in cosmic. Even with that, I just tend to gravitate toward stuff like magma for throwing. Looking forward to trying them.
And thanks did the compliments. I loved testing the Tui. It and the Proxy are both on long term tryouts in my bag.

I like this, and will definitely be stealing it on the course.
