15:14 - The Sanctioned Psyker knowingly sacrificed his life to try to save the squad. The reason there was no audible dialogue to that point is because they speak with in helmet comms. When he caught the plan of the baddies, he YELLED as loud as he could, "RECALL THEM IMMEDIATELY!" That's as loud as he could make his voice go under normal human power. He broke concentration to the thing that he was connected to... and it took him over. He knew when he shouted the warning that the Captain (white cloak) and his Lieutenant (beaky boy) would do the merciful thing and end him fast. Why? Because he could be corrupted and turned into a chaosspawn, or used as a finger puppet, or blown apart to open a warp rift and create an incursion by daemons into the ship. This is why Psykers are inherently dangerous.

(something something action line, something cinematography) also i feel like the AI upscaling messed with the coloration of the videos a little bit, though some effects looked a bit more vibrant in return. thanks for watching the video, its always very cool to see people react to it for the first time! also some people go back to it once they learned more and realize the plethora of little details in it. it is a truly outstanding work. iirc it took the guy working on weekends for around 4 years to create it. also as someone who studied sound design/engineering a little bit, im still always amazed by the sound effects too, everything is on point.
I've only ever heard the original audio before. The sound effects are the same, but they've definitely changed the background music. I doubt it was a copyright issue, though. Weird.
To clear up some misinfo from Twitch chat- The Astartes creator was brought aboard to games Workshop and helped to direct the Secret Level episode and has confirmed that he has also been working on a sequel to the Astartes Project. :) Some people are (rightfully, in many cases) upset at GW, but they often misdirect their anger IMO. GW has been doing a lot to change their image with fans in recent years after the big blowup about fan animations. They allow 3rd party stuff to stay up (Helsreach and Awakening being 2 VERY popular examples, and both of the creators have also been brought in to help on new GW stuff like the Helsreach creator making "Blood Angels" and it's prequel trilogy) and have generally been shifting towards a healthier relationship with the fans IMO.
its sad to see so many people recommend him to new people yes hes a great orator, yes his editing is clean but his lore knowledge is barebones and often wrong, sometimes deliberately so people learning from him will have as much to unlearn as they have to learn after the video
@ he made a interesting video that is pretty lore accurate, and it is mean to get people in the door of Warhammer 40k. He condensed like 30 years of lore into like 4 easy to digest videos. It’s wasn’t meant to be a lutien level intro. More like a quick and dirty crash course.
@@billymorrow669 His videos are for other 40k memelords who still laugh at shit from the 2010s, none of his jokes land for people new to 40k, and just makes them say "What? I dont get it?" for however long he decides to stretch his videos to
Its an outdated series of videos that are very deliberated geared towards newcomers. Its lighthearted and shallow for a reason, no newcomer is going to sit through countless hours of Leutin (as an example) for a first look at the IP because its a lot to take in. Curb your autism my friending, an entrypoint is just that and learning things more in depth is easier to commit to if a broad stroke overgeneralisation catches your interest first.

The Astartes aren't actually trans human but more like hyper human, trans human requires a focus on mechanical things. The trans humans are actually from the Adeptus Mechanicus as they believe the flesh is weak and therefore want to become more mechanical. They actually worship what they refer to as the Machine God. Also, if memory serves, an Astartes is pretty much asexual. Though they will interact with normal humans, it's usually younger members of the Adeptus Mechanicus or the Astra Militarum. Sometimes they interact with civilians, but most chapters just let them die. The Ultramarines and Salamanders however will try to help for sure. Salamanders value all human life while the Ultramarines believe honor is more important than anything else. Most chapters also happen to specialize, but the Ultramarines are more of a jack-of-all-trades kind of chapter.
All the, "They finally let him do stuff," comments have no idea how long the timeline of major projects is. People expected animations the same year lmao.
I wish I could get into Warhammer, but I need my hand held. This is like giving me an encyclopedia set with A-Z but the A-Z are all weird runes. IDK where to start.
So basically it's the year 42000; the Big G Emperor has been sitting on the intergalactic lighthouse for 10k years. krak duck has short and light videos about most factions once you see one your interested in, thats the place to start things are all pretty intertwined so you tend to learn about everything even when your learning about one thing and there is no reason to rush in, there is 40 years of lore to learn so dont demand of yourself that you know it in a weekend
Bricky is considered the most noob friendly intro to the universe (his Factions explained part 1 and 2 and the timeline). However Bricky is known to misinterpret some things or mess others up, but he's still the best if you want to get into the world (he's also doing stuff with Matara Kan if you're interested and their collabs started with 40k).
I was watching the react and was wondering why it was so weird. Whoever reuploaded the original video (like the original creator of the animation) they added a bunch of music and sound effects. It ruins the vision of what it was by making it feel cluttered audio wise.
Some Legions do mingle with normal humans Salamander's are encouraged to go home and visit with their family during their down time Ultramarines are encouraged to hold civilian careers on their down time from politics to other jobs I'm sure there's others i know space wolves live to party up between missions what better people to impress but civilians or militarium astardium or whatever they're called lol

Lmao no, those two trash tier psykers were not a match for the space marines. They combined only barely managed to crack the lens piece to an astartes helmet. The single WEAKEST point on astartes power armor, and it took both of them to crack it. If you look carefully at the ending frames you'll also see that the other marines who got pushed around were totally fine. The game was rigged from the start.

7:13 what the.... scene is the "wrong" way around, as in this is the original version. the creator flipped the scene of the plasma bolt blowing up the multilaser after many people got confused. (something something action line, something cinematography)
also i feel like the AI upscaling messed with the coloration of the videos a little bit, though some effects looked a bit more vibrant in return.
thanks for watching the video, its always very cool to see people react to it for the first time! also some people go back to it once they learned more and realize the plethora of little details in it. it is a truly outstanding work. iirc it took the guy working on weekends for around 4 years to create it.
also as someone who studied sound design/engineering a little bit, im still always amazed by the sound effects too, everything is on point.
Secret Level episode 5 is phenomenal I can't recommend it enough if you liked this
Ahh yes no peace no love no bullshit plot just pure violent
I've only ever heard the original audio before. The sound effects are the same, but they've definitely changed the background music. I doubt it was a copyright issue, though. Weird.
That "Whopper" is a bit more than chocolate covered malt ball. Love the reference though.
The trailer for Astartes II just dropped today.
To clear up some misinfo from Twitch chat-
The Astartes creator was brought aboard to games Workshop and helped to direct the Secret Level episode and has confirmed that he has also been working on a sequel to the Astartes Project. :)
Some people are (rightfully, in many cases) upset at GW, but they often misdirect their anger IMO.
Damn right!
Rule of 1
the sound mix on this version is whack. sounds like someone replacement the music and cranked it up too loud. sound effects too quiet.
ah yes another vtuber for the 40k rabbit whole! Welcome battle sister!
Bricky’s literally the first place to start with lore. Start with his Factions Explained video and end with the 40k Overview video. Highly recommend.
its sad to see so many people recommend him to new people
yes hes a great orator, yes his editing is clean
but his lore knowledge is barebones and often wrong, sometimes deliberately so
people learning from him will have as much to unlearn as they have to learn after the video
I dont get it?" for however long he decides to stretch his videos to
@ It doesn’t change that it’s an entry level video that he made for the sole purpose of getting people interested into diving a little deeper.
Mwahahaha, a new comer !
also it was confirmed in an ama that the final shot of this film was on the homeworld of the alien orbs
Welcome to the community as one of its many goblins, let me give you some good lore channels. First I would suggest Bricky and his video on every faction. Then I would suggest the Grand Ghoul of the hobby Baldumort, again welcome and have fun.
Warrior tier is fun channel too.
Nice, Powdur double-dip for me since i love my AI overlord Neuro and i still kinda like 40k.
Demons are the physical manifestation of "bad vibes".
Oh wait until she sees some Sanguinius and Fulgrim art.
Welcome to the Rabbithole.
OMG that does look like a Tool album! I never realized it till now LMAO
Funny enough I'm already in the rabbit hole!
For Fenris, For Russ, For The Allfather!
For the emperor
All the, "They finally let him do stuff," comments have no idea how long the timeline of major projects is. People expected animations the same year lmao.
1 guy
All of this!
There’s a part 2 teaser out rn for another one he finna put out
I wish I could get into Warhammer, but I need my hand held.
This is like giving me an encyclopedia set with A-Z but the A-Z are all weird runes. IDK where to start.
Bricky's Timeline really helped me out! Lore wise
So basically it's the year 42000; the Big G Emperor has been sitting on the intergalactic lighthouse for 10k years. In the meanwhile, we're back into dark ages where personal hygiene is the least of concern on daily basis and humanity is on the brink of wiped of the map by space elves, evil space elves, spooky scary metal skeleton, overaggressive mushrooms, LGBTQRSUVWXYZ people and gods wanted eat our souls as french fries
krak duck has short and light videos about most factions
once you see one your interested in, thats the place to start
things are all pretty intertwined so you tend to learn about everything even when your learning about one thing
and there is no reason to rush in, there is 40 years of lore to learn so dont demand of yourself that you know it in a weekend
Huh. Guess they changed the music for the Remastered. Neat.
16:58 that made me laugh lmao
I was watching the react and was wondering why it was so weird. Whoever reuploaded the original video (like the original creator of the animation) they added a bunch of music and sound effects. It ruins the vision of what it was by making it feel cluttered audio wise.
The people run Games Workshop are tools. Especially for what they did to Astartus. Don't know if I spelled that right...😵💫
When she start a video her hair is just completely gone that got me😅
🕳 🐇
they had him delete his youtube because they put Astartes on Warhammer +.
Lmao I didn’t expect a Tool reference from an innocent sounding Vtuber
Some Legions do mingle with normal humans
Salamander's are encouraged to go home and visit with their family during their down time
Ultramarines are encouraged to hold civilian careers on their down time from politics to other jobs
I'm sure there's others i know space wolves live to party up between missions what better people to impress but civilians or militarium astardium or whatever they're called lol
Here's a really good video on where Warhammer got some of their artistic inspiration from
m.th-cam.com/video/dxRB4sdbIcw/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUQbmlnaHRtYXJlIGFydGlzdA%3D%3D
Orks are da best cause theys the only ones having fun
Another vtuber falling into rabbit hole.
Another soul for warhammer, the next video is the brycked one. Also a not so hot take.....KONRAD WAS RIGHT!!!
Emperor protects.. we appreciate anyone who does 3 things.. 1) Genos are scum 2) Herecy is the root of all evil 3) ... oh its me.. umm.. can you shoot? if not we only need basics of judicial system.. hope thats good with you ^^
So the trailer for Astartes 2 just dropped, completely dispelling all rumors that he left GW or that GW locked him in a guilded cage, screw you all, I love being right
Hot take: Magnus did almost nothing wrong.
Don't listen to the Imperial propaganda. There is good in the Grim Dark future.
There is a Greater Good. 💙
GW earned a lot of hatred from the community for what they did; The basically forced this guy to work for them or he'd be sued into oblivion. Then they proceeded to go after every other creator of Warhammer content that was making better stuff than they were. Then they just sat on their hands and tried to retcon Custodes into having female members.
Augh, she watched the GW version. It's not quite butchered, but its as close to ruined as they could get it.
I wanna paint with my brothas!!!
"He's in a Tool album!" Hottest take EVER.
1:27 No. No no no. You learn by watching Bricky's "Every single Warhammer 40k (WH40k) Faction Explained" videos. It comes in 2 parts. It's the main entry point for all vtubers. Welcome to the 41st Milennium.
AI "remastering" of a BEAUTIFULLY animated youtube mini series
god I hate AI so much, totally ruins a lot of the shots trying "upscale" for absurd resolutions nobody will even notice or have monitors that support
saying warhammer is like helldivers is truly an ironic take.
the Helldivers are more akin to an Astra Militarum regiment especially the Harkoni Warhawks
@@brothersgt.grauwolff6716 Helldivers are fucking book Starship Troopers, holy shit 40k fans for being sci-fi nerds can't bring up any other sci fi except 40k
Please take everything your twitch sais with a pinch off salt cause someone saying "space marines are more vulnerable to being corrupted" is just cap
Anime Lord of the Ring movie is bad. They just girl bossed the story. The female main character does not even have a name in the books. :) She is only mentioned once. But hey that is what they do today sadly. And the Space Marine has 3 silver bolts on his head. That should mean he has 150 years of active duty. Gold is 100 years. As far as I remember.
How long till we see our man Bricky?
Sister....why are you hairless.....did you shave your Head
I would have stopped him after watching this, but only because he made Space Marines look even more boring then they already did.
It's a shame this is the edited version with the new sound track. OG is best.
I'm once again struck by how bad the remake was 💀 (it's obviously still awesome but like what are these sounds they add for no reason like at 14:00)
God I really hate the new background music it’s very bland and lame, the og version is way times better.
Shame GW butchered it
