Let me get this straight…she refuses to share details of the justification for this purchase now in a press briefing, because it’s such a non-issue, but also because the media would talk about nothing else if she settled the matter now? It would have taken very little time for her staff to write up a short press packet that explained the purchase, listing the features of the lectern that justified the price and why she needed the features. That - if reasonable - is what would give news reporters nothing to talk about.
Look, I always try to test my biases by imagining my guy did it. And I get not wanting to get too far into the weeds about non-issues, especially when there is any level of complexity or nuance involved, but this isn’t that.
The price of that lectern when it is name brand and not a knock off is 7000 dollars
