My refresher tailwheel training was in a Bushcat and we did a lot of grass landings because grass is more forgiving. It was through Get Inspired at Jasper GA. I am not a big fan of the flap lever location on the Bushcat. You have to cross body reach to operate it. For me it meant taking my left hand off the throttle and taking hold of the stick, and moving my right hand from the stick to the flap lever.
Otherwise the Bushcat is a nice plane.

I agree I’m not a fan of the flap lever either since I also have to cross my body to pull the flaps. It was pretty awkward at first but now I do it without thinking so it’s not as big of an issue as I originally thought it would be.

that's a no brainer.... he couldn't fly a tailwheel if his lift depended on it....

@@cowboypilot3710 Thank you, Love that simple LSA plane, but that flap control is not very friendly, not the norm that’s for sure, cross body action, guess after a while it might get better. Palmetto, FL here, close to Airport Manatee 48X , w/ grass strip, hearing it sold tho, heard changes are in the future, paved runway, new hangars, so hopefully it will carry on the small airport vibe, but if not, close to SPG, and SRQ and a bit farther out is Arcadia Municipal Airport X06. Thanks for sharing, greatly appreciated

I’m not a fan of the flaps either lol.. all I can say is that you get used to it after a while but I think they need to rethink them.
