So great to meet you both today! Thank you for the incredible tasting, conversation, and drams to go! We look forward to visiting again!
Thank you so much Terry and Jennifer! It was so lovely to meet you and hope to see you soon again :)
Been to Islay loads of times, didn’t know about these caves, great video.
They are not very well known I would say. I don't even know many locals who have visited the caves 😀 The place is insane though, well worth the trek 😁
Just WOW!
cool vlog! I've been to Islay several times.(mostly whiskey orientated) and will be going again in a few weeks. Most certain gonna be heading there too... reminds me of the Oa
Aw great. If you pop into Bruichladdich, make sure to say hi. The Bholsa caves is a bit like The Oa, just doesn't have massive cliffs.
How cold is the water in the waterfall? I wanted to wash myself under the water, and then I could quickly get dressed!
Hi! It depends on the time of the year. It's a river so on a lovely hot day, it will heat up really nicely 😍 just be very careful, as the rocks under the waterfall can be very slippy.
I love this video. Planning a visit to islay in mid may (just before the festival). Would love to visit these caves. How far of a walk (1 hour, 2 hour walk?) are they from the Bunnahabhain distillery? We are definitely visiting Bruichladdich. That is my favorite.
Sorry for the late reply, never noticed your comment. It is quite a walk out to the caves, you best give yourself 3 hours to get there. Make sure you give yourself the hole day or even better camp at the caves. It's 100% worth the effort.
Looks amazing! We're coming to Islay end of March/beginning of April, we'll have to try visit them. Which part of the island are they on?
Thank you Sharon and Phil! They are on the northwest of the island. We parked at Bunnahabhain Distillery and walked a bit along the coastline and then crossed to the west coast between two large hills. When you are over send us a wee email at ardview.photography@gmail.com and if you like, pop into Bruichladdich Distillery where we work, and will give you a good dram and proper directions! :)
Aw thanks guys. We're planning to visit as many of the distilleries as possible, so will definitely come by Bruichladdich for a good dram and a chat.🥃🥃
Will send you an email with more details on when we're coming, speak soon.👍🏻
@@thelifeofreillytravels Amazing! See you guys on Islay! :)
Nice video
Thank you Matt! 😊
Hi where is this as Bhosha caves do not appear in maps ?
Hi, yeah not surprised it doesn't come up on google maps. Not many people have been there probably. Here are the coordinates - 55.927348, -6.168961 . hope this helps :)
I’m from Islay and never knew of these caves 🤔🤔
Aw you need to go and see them. They are incredible and we just scratched the surface on that video 😁
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it's soooo beautiful there! 😍
it's sooo amazing!! Can't wait to camp there and spend some more time exploring that side of the island 😍
