WRKO had a ReelWorld custom around the late 90s. 11:25-12:05 - Jingles from The Music Source. They also made jingles for KIRO-AM and KMPS Seattle, KGO San Francisco, KSL Salt Lake City, KABC Los Angeles and WTIC Hartford. I wonder if there's any more jingles they've done.
@ 0:33 That be me, "I'm a jingle freak, jingle freak your boy's a jingle freak...I'm jingle freaking OWWWT"!🤦🏻♂️I'm getting to appreciate the RKO sound the more I learn to recognize them. Thanks Ellis! ⭐
Excellent work. Perchance do you have any more Norm Nathan content? Tony Nesbitt has a fair amount of it also at the Norm Nathan Vault of Silliness channel.
I don't know where you got half of these jingles, but I don't recall hearing them on WRKO. Did you by any chance slip in jingles from packages that never made it to the airwaves?
WRKO began as WNAC, the flagship of the Yankee Network, much as sister station KHJ had anchored the Don Lee network on the West Coast. Both Yankee and Don Lee were affiliated with Mutual, and under RKO General, both WNAC/WRKO and KHJ would move to Top 40 as their networks wound down.
Always love the old jingles Ellis!!..keep them coming !!..at least you will never let old radio die !!..ty!!
you're welcome

Drake era. Are you surprised?
Bill Drake's lead in jingle. He changed top 40 format sound............
2:39 a similar jingle I swear was used on Oldies 103.3 until the end of the station
It sounds like the late Janet Jeghelian at 12:06.
@@swami1 That’s her! I recorded her on the radio in July 1992. Thought I’d end it with her.
@@EllisFeaster She was a nice lady. My mom knew her in college.
The jingles from 9:30 to 11:25 were also used on WOC-AM Davenport, IA in the mid-1980s.
They started out life as WLAW Lawrence MA. 😮

I have posted a couple, and I have a few more still to post.

@@manfredcaranci6234 It’s possible. Sometimes stations don’t use certain cuts.

Who did the early WNAC jingles?
The a cappellas were produced by PAMS. Not sure about the cuts with orchestration behind them.
