Thank you so much for all these tutorial videos you've helped me out with so many things when it comes to being a nail tech.!! Almost make me want to attempt acrylics! I'd love to see this with builder gels!
I was BAD at acrylics … 3 days 1:1 with #mjay_delacruz and lots more practice I finally got it! Gels are my GOTO however I think we all need acrylics in our tool box. Another things that changed my dislike of acrylics was going from cheap products to YN products. Currently, I only use YN acrylics and gels for sculpting, overlays etc..
Ingrown why didn’t I think of putting upside down so I don’t have to pull out every jar I know that’s not what u r teaching but made a huge difference for me on organizing
I was going for a "mylar/glitter fade" look on the set I'm doing today. Greg, I'd tell you to get the camera out of my dining room and quit spying on me but you always know how to give me a hand on what I'm struggling with!
If the glitter is clumping together, most likely you don't have enough gel mixed in. It shouldn't be too thick, it should still self level at least a little.
So I’m confused do you have to be licensed to go to OWC or not because I asked ray and was told all on campus courses are for licensed only… I’m currently in cosmetology school but won’t be finished until end of July

Hi Greg, Here Olga from Rotterdam/The Netherlands. I have a question about the e-file. I have 1 customer who only wears gel polish, no biab, riab, fiab, acrylic or gel. When I treat her, she indicates pain when filing. I work with the silver safety bit at 15000 rpm. She is the only customer who indicates pain, (also the only one who only wears gel polish...) ... My own hands give me a lot of pain when I have to file the gel polish off by hand and she doesn't want to soak in acetone. So I hope you can tell me which bit I can use for her and on how many revs, without hurting her. Sweet greetings from beautiful Rotterdam.
Some clients may be more sensitive to the efile, but make sure that you are using a new bit around 12,000-15,000rpms. If you are right handed, make sure you are using the regular safety bit, but if you are left handed, you would want the left handed bit as it will cut better in reverse. We also have a coarse safety bit for right handed techs that will work quicker and with less pressure. If you are using an old bit, you may unconsciously feel the need to apply more pressure. Most bits last up to 30-50 services, depending on what product you are filing. If you are working over acrylic enhancements on your other clients, your bits may wear out faster and you may be using more pressure on them but they don't feel it as much since they have the enhancement protecting.

Can I use the table towels for wiping my brushes from hard gel??!!
We use a tile instead of the towel for hard gel.
@@youngnailsinc thx you
❤️❤️❤️👏
Do you use core or speed clear when working with mylar or chunky glitter?
You can use either, just depends on how fast you are wanting to the acrylic to set.
Where is that nail desk from you are using? And the dresser you have all the glitters in?
