Diversity, inclusion, and equity (or DIE) espoused by the current crop of social justice should, indeed, be considered an invasive religion (something forced onto others), and is extremely dangerous BECAUSE of that exerted force. As it metastasizes into our government institutions, I'm reminded of a saying by Frank Herbert: "When religion and politics travel in the same cart, the riders believe nothing can stand in their way. Their movements become headlong - faster and faster and faster. They put aside all thoughts of obstacles and forget the precipice does not show itself to the man in a blind rush until it's too late. When religion and politics ride in the same cart, the whirlwind follows."
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, or DEI...It is, after all the god of their new religion. Tomorrow never knows - "Turn off your mind, Relax and float downstream," sang the prophets of old.
Wow, Darel Paul - a true philosopher who connects relevant current events to philosophical thinking and makes everyone understand what’s going on. Thank you!
The college I work recently got a new president who has instituted DIE. They have brought in groups that have subversively said that employees are racist. I can tell the progression of the trainings they have planned is for all of us to admit to our privilege. I was in a small group discussion where instructors admitted they would shut down students who viewed the world as not having racism as the cause for all of America's issues.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ KUDOS to whomever it is at Hillsdale College that diligently writes the transcripts! It is a joy to find references by the speakers precisely transcribed, rather than "machine guessed". This makes Hillsdale College in a class of its own in this important field as well! THANK YOU! As to the speech, it is one of the most important topics in regards to the survival of humanity. Unfortunately, Education takes time. And were the universities, and the rest of the American Education system, on this very day to trash the Speech Fascism, the Marxist Cultural Revolution, and go back to open and balanced discourse, teaching kids not WHAT to thing but HOW to think, it would still take decades for the damage to society to rectify itself. It will take Communist China the next DECADE to win complete control of the planet, by which time discussions such as this will become mute. They will bcome mute, because education at that point will invariably be focused on the Führer's Teachings and the production of surveillance technology to keep humanity enslaved to the dysbiological system that is Marxist-Leninism garnished with Xi Jinping's unsurpassed thinking. Winston Churchill may have won over Hitler, but the Western Allies would have done Humanity a great favor by continuing to Moscow. That of course never happened because the Communists were already deeply entrenched in the US Bureaucracy and the Administration in Washington DC. They didn't just stop half way into Germany, leaving central and eastern Europe to decades of tyranny. They made sure that the Scourge of the World, Communist China in fact would become Communist. If we are to save Humanity's humanity, America has but one route left to take. A We The People's hands-on Article V Convention Of States, eradicating the FIVE branches of government and restarting America with a minimalist state based solely on the timeless wisdom of the Founding Documents.
I think his take on Social Justice being about class is entirely incorrect. The adherents of the religion are from every economic class of society. Intersectionality is basically reinventing classes based on how many gender, sexual or race based categories you fall under. The more you have then the higher in the order you are. The pinnacle would be an obese, disabled, trans, woman, lesbian that is also black. If she was incredibly wealthy it would make little difference.
I’m not positive you are understanding his points...he is definitely not negating Hillsdale students, just the opposite I believe...it’s a process to cultivate virtuous elites whom will be particularly helpful for all mankind Or that’s my perspective from his lecture

This book should be in your library " Crimes of the Educators".
Excellent presentation. One of the best I've heard in explaining the origin of the cancer known as diversity, equity & inclusion.

I would never challenge Dr. Paul in an arguing match! Good points! Also, he is very well articulated. he inspired me to expand my vocabulary!
Curious as to why there aren’t more folks there
That's perfectly normal among lectures. A major portion of viewers aren't in the room.
Definitions are important🧐
Very eloquent speaking
Humour may be the key haha🤩
We must however know the truth of the bible outweighs self rule. We are created by God to be what we are!!! Its the only true happiness.
