This was my first international beatbox event i was on and it was so nice and super crazy to see so many legends. Got so emotional many times, specially when i met alem and alexinho, i broke down crying when i talked to them. And in still processing everything i experienced 😅

The only thing I have to say is thank you for these videos, they really are showing things that you don't see often at all. Whether it's the experience of certain events, like the real personality of certain beatboxers. Other things that might play a part: hyperfocus, special interest, pattern recognition, creativity/thinking outside the box. It's interesting. Beatbox does something to my brain that other music doesn't. Hard to explain!

Zekka would've destroyed at least up until top 4, but that is also true to alot of beatboxers who couldn't participate like Huckle, Elisii, some South Americanos, and more.

some info correction. Although many symptoms and things experienced by asd and adhd (which encompasses add) are the same, they are in fact different conditions. Its common for many to have both. Which have a unique set of experiences. ❤ for my fellow neurospicy folk
Very sad that there was 0 representation from male Japanese and Korean beatbox, these are both top 5 beatbox countries in the world. The event was still amazing..
I feel like this shows a big issue in the beatbox world which is travelling cost. Many from NA and EU arent going to GBB as well because it's too expensive, even Helium had to take donations to pay for it. I really hope the event organisers in the future consider paying for flight tickets
@@shakewelleryeah the problem is there’s just not enough money in the scene for that. BeeLow said he lost money from doing the world champs, and now he’s in debt from throwing this event so he needs donations from the community to make up for it
I hope the world champs can become a big tournament, it would he cool to have multiple tournaments on gbb level not just gbb. National competitions are obviously great but a couple huge global tournaments would be so awesome

Great podcast guys, 🔥 as always. But no one explained how was with this new system 1 female and 1 male battle. Judges were not annoyed, that they need to switch places every few minutes? And how was the crowd reacting, because on the stream was very silence
@winterfeld2458 since i was there it didn't really seem like people was super frustrated about it I personally used it to take some breaks in between battles
it was a nice idea to get hype on several category at the same time but i was a bit annoyed that we did 1 battle each. i would have much more prefered to judge 2 battles in a row each time. Plus the judge who took the same seat as me always put the flag on the ground on purpose to make me squat hahah
(controversal) to me the only world champs is gbb (not taking anything from anyone especially not footbox) but we cant have multiple world leagues especially when one of them is a joke

I think BBWC is only world champs, think about only competing champions. GBB everyone could join, it’s more like a fight of the famous people - without taking anything from it, it’s still very awesome and incredible high profile Beatbox.

As an AuDHDer I can confirm for me its like a stim. I find it distracts the over talkative brain in circumstances like driving in heavy traffic a lot

I talked to a few judges and they were rather happy about it. It’s not endless judging but small breaks to take a breath.
the crowd was probably silent for the stream bcs their using a dynamic microphone and it doesnt pickup sounds from far away

The transitions between judges were actually a lot more efficient than I expected and I quite enjoyed this format of battles!
