As a SwAxe main, everything Rise did for Switch Axe was so amazing. Rapid Morph and the power boost it gives to morphing attacks at levels 2 and 3 gave us the beautiful Bread-and-Butter combo, while the Soaring Wyvern Blade gave us a means to escape the end-lag after landing from a Zero-Sum Discharge by turning the air time into another chance to attack, thus maintaining the weapon's flow. And then in Sunbreak, the 2-Stage Morph Slash combo gave the weapon even more power, while the Elemental Burst Counter was the defensive buff the weapon desperately needed - while it is technically meant for offense, the EBC's i-frames make it useful as a defensive measure too...and a defensive measure that maintains your offense is perfect for a weapon like the Switch Axe.
I will miss this Switch Axe counter in MHWilds, but the new offset one looks really fun as well! That is a really optimized way of using the swamp! I never thought it could be used like that! I wish I still had my Nintendo Switch to try that 🙂 Awesome run, thanks man!

Not exactly. The set may very likely be modded in, but the skills are actually quite reasonable. You can can an additional skill or two on the talisman from what I can see, and each armor piece barring two of them (I think) adds just one important armor skill addition. If you are willing to spam Slots+ or normal Qurio Augments, most of this can be obtained on a non-modded account.
primordial set has a shitton of +4 slots and doesnt require a lot of augmenting, if you look at the skill allocations thingy (at the end) it looks possible with jewels but is very hard, and some of his stuff has been augmented for slottage-- i might be wrong since it went by so fast, but the 6 levels of atk boost is possible for sure on slasher alone

Im a switch axe and hunting horn main. I lost faith in switch axe and just ran solo HH. level 3 dereliction, frostcraft, and burst brought me back to making a defensive comfortable high damage SA build. I seen these kind of numbers but don't play half this good. I was surprised when I cleared primordial in 15 min no carts.
Damn and I thought I was atleast decent with Swax haha. One question though, I don't really watch alot of speedruns, Any particular reason for running double dogs? Im assuming its for more damage than running a damage cat and dog.
especially good if you are going blood awakening. the weapons have increased health recovery from blood blight and blood rite, making it easier to proc blood awakening
Why do you guys always have to put some generic background music? Just let the base gameplay and the monster's soundtrack speak for itself, really makes me instantly close the video and look for another one No hate just it's unnecessary as hell
By playing the game without BGM, it allows us to keep the footage for B-roll on any video projects in the future. That and after running the same monster so many times, the base game music can get annoying, no matter how great it is.

Pc, so mods, so hacked, it is possible, but the chances are almost none to ever achieve that set naturally through gameplay imo
