Does the S3 have the same option of using this rings to raise the handlebar height? it is not mentioned anywhere on the website. (please could you answer this 🙏)
I didn't know about the secret trapdoor and destroyed one connector trying to get the handlebar back on. Where can I get a replacement connector like that?
Does the S3 have the same capability of using shims to raise the handlebar height? I assume it does, but it is not mentioned anywhere on the website. (I'm 193cm tall so I'll want to use two shims)
Hi there, let's get this sorted. To begin, ensure that you've loosened the two bolts on your handlebar. If the shim (the "metal sleeve") is protruding from the handlebar, try to squeeze the shim and pull down; this should give you the extra play you need to remove the shim. If all else fails, you can always use a flat-head screwdriver to further open the split on the handlebar. Again, this should give more room for the shim to be removed - just be sure you've fully loosened those two bolts! If you need any more help, don't hesitate to get in touch via support@vanmoof.com or through one of our social channels.

@@vanmoof I eventually managed, using a pair of pliers and rotating it counter-clockwise inside the tube until it got out.
No issues afterwards.
This is more difficult for the S3, this seems easier, the instructions say not to move the handlebar
