Hi Jon new to your channel from Melbourne Australia. I'm looking to move to Cambodia living on savings. It seems the e visas only give you 30 day clearance. Whereas a business visa is the one to get extensions. The issue I have is I don't have a letter from an employer or a sponsor in Cambodia. I'm hoping you could point me in the right direction so I can plan my move. Kind regards Nathan

You don't need a sponsor so to speak. The ordinary - business visa can be obtained at the airport now. On the flight you will be given a paper to give to immigration. Check the business box instead of the tourist box. If you don't plan to work or start a business and have enough cash in your bank account I might suggest getting a retirement visa it's a little less paperwork. There is a catch though, you can convert a business visa into a retirement visa while you are in country however you cannot convert from a retirement to a business without leaving the country. All initial visas are for 30 days so you will need to find an agent. I can recommend one here in Kampot but I don't know where you plan to live once here.
Let me know what you decide and when you get here. Best wishes to you mate.
