You’ll Probably find with oxfam the volunteers are creaming off the good stuff for themselves to resell! I know two chazza shops that sell on line themselves but where do they get the stock eh? But hey who am I to judge I’d be doing it myself
Picked up Barbour ladies wax jacket recently nearly new for £5😊sold today for £70🎉Also got 2 x Jackwolfskin long padded feather down ladies jackets. Not sure on value yet however?
Roy Castle Lung charity shop in Liverpool. I was just about to walk out when a chap came in with 2 bags. I could see the wax jacket at the top and suspected it was Barbour. I asked the young lad behind the desk if I could look at it as normally they don’t allow this and need time to price up and research etc. Once the guy had left he allowed me to take it out and look. I asked him a price and he said £5 which I snapped at. I then asked about the JW jackets and after looking at them he said £5 each also. Funny thing was as I was paying the manager came back from his lunch and saw the transaction and questioned it. He took the lad to one side not happy and had a word with him. I did feel a little guilty however I paid the price they asked! I do pay over the odds at most charity shops so it was nice to get a bargain for a change! People may say that this was sneaky however how many of them pay over the asking price when they purchase from charity shops. I also give a lot of dead stock to charity so karma was just on my side on this occasion imo!😊
Anybody would think i was a clothing reseller 😆
