UPDATE: The seller contacted me today after issuing me a full refund. He said he accidently grabbed one he was modifying rather than this one. Mistakes happen, no harm done, but that condition as NEW he needs to change, lol. Ebay can be a crazy place sometimes!
Yeah kinda been there. Several months back ordered a cable from a guy on eBay for my XTL5000. Had to wait to get it shipped to me here I Europe. I use a consolidator who gatherers a few of the items I order and makes one shipment for me. Well as luck would have it, it didn’t work. Tried everything but no luck. Contacted him through eBay and let him know about the issue. He sent out a new one to my US address but again I had to wait a couple of months to get the item. It worked great. I contacted him about the old cable, his reply was basically to dispose of it. Went to my recycling bin.
A+Discard any programming cable that is suspect. I only program with OEM cables. You can get a fail 01/82 with a bad cable, which will disable your radio until you get it reflashed.@@Subgunman
I'm not sure what you mean by "one wire". This cable is for XTS5k portables and it has multiple wires within one sheath. I believe my XTL cables in USB are the same. The two are not interchangeable, but I'm sure you know that.
I was just wondering if you do programming for Motorola Astro saber 3. I don't know whole heck of a lot about these radios I just wanted to have some programming done so I can use it
I sent the seller photos and asked the seller what was up, but he never answered. I don't want to shame whoever sent that way. It's going back, but I had to open a case and drag myself through the process. I've never had something sent to me like this, lol. I consider myself lucky, as I've been buying gear a lot of years. Ebay can be a weird place sometimes, lol.

jesus, who in the fuck would sell that as new...
USB for the programming side? Is this a "one wire" type cable similar to the XTL series cables?
