    It's been almost 40 years since I paddled there. Thanks for bringing us along.

      Thanks! 360 camera and a very long selfie stick, no drone required lol.

    Nice! Heading out that way in a couple weeks, will have to check out that waterfall on black lake (later). Very helpful info in the videos, thanks for sharing.

    What a great trip. Haven't paddled Haliburton yet, defenitly on my list now! The map you show at the begining of the video, what resource is that? thanks for sharing, you just helped me plan one of my next trips :) And Bacon bits with Maple Brown Sugar?? That sounds freaking awesome! Thanks for that as well! Cheers, Rob.

      The map from the start of the video is and old Jeff’s map. They don’t make it anymore but I’m sure somebody still makes a map of the park. Jeff’s maps were the best IMO.
      It is awesome lol. I just got back from a four day trip in Noganosh and I ate it every morning.
      cheers!

      It’s a great spot for family trips! You won’t be disappointed.
      Lol yah it’s a little small for the both of us but we make it work. I’ve eaten a lot of meals out of it over the years.

      @@ryansroutes1805 it's a good pot I have both the 900 and 1400 sizes but never get them THAT full 😅. People hate the lid, but I like the versatility of using it as a bowlplate

    • @ryansroutes1805
      @ryansroutes1805  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DerekSOutdoors I have a smaller snow peaks pot that nests inside that one as well. Love the both but yes the lid isn’t the best design. Would be great if it would stay on it lol. Although the sound of the lid falling of is usually how I know my water is boiling lol.

      @@ryansroutes1805 hahaha, I hear you!!! but then it's a rush to the fire of what to save first.. your water or the pot lid

      @@DerekSOutdoors lol yah I’ve had it put out the stove before, trying to get camp packed up before the water boiled.

    Nice video. got a question regarding the falls into Black Lake. We are going to Margaret Lake this weekend and day tripping through Dan, Mc Ewen and Horse. When we come out of horse ( somewhere between sites 96 and 97). would we go east or west to see the bigger falls. thanks

      You would go east towards Black lake to see the bigger falls. It’s located at the start of the portage to Black lake. The rapids located to the west of sites 96 and 97 are also interesting. It’s a series of small falls and pools with a couple cool swim spots. If you don’t mind a little bushwhack to check them out and you’re in the area I’d recommend chewing them out as well.
      Hope that helps you out!
