Most of us probably won't get this first iteration of Fold by Google but of course we're all curious how Floss honestly feels about it. As a Pixel fan, I can't wait until Google fixes the things that need to be addressed.

I’m so split between getting a ZFlip and this google pixel fold. These new phones are just beyond impressive/ The only real first impressions that I’ve been waiting for from ALL of tech TH-cam.
I'veowned the zflip 4 for a year now and have purchased the Pixel fold arriving July 5th....and hears why, this phone has lived 90% of its life, flipped open!! I dont find myself flipping it closed, I always leave it open, prior to the Flip 4 I have owned Pixel 3 and 5, and missed so many things from the Pixel, most notably was the Swype keyboard was so much more accurate than the Swype of the Samsung, just trying to Swype Thanks, 60% of the time gave me something not even close. The Camera on the Pixel WAY better...so when the Fold was announced I jumped on it.....I'll let you know how I feel about the fold after I get it on Wednesday!
Got my Pixel Fold on Thursday, absolutely love the phone, the front screen is so nice, great size, so much my girl friend who owns an iPhone was a little salty over the phone. Battery life is questionable, its only been a few days and hasnt gone through full drain and charge but twice, which isn't too bad....watched TikTok last night for about 2.5 hours on the front screen and drained the battery about 20%, which I thought wasnt bad for using the screen on almost 90% brightness for 2.5 hours. I'll update more in a couple weeks after I travel with it in a week and see how it travels.
This phone actually looks mad dope, especially because I’m getting tired of apple. I wanna see what Google will do with the next iteration of this new fold line. Great vid, floss 🙏🏾‼️
I just got my pixel fold today. So far in first few hours. I am also impressed. I am a huge Samsung guy. I have had the fold 3 and 4. Both were returned instantly. I think the pixel fold is a keeper. It has the perfect outer display. I think you'll be happy with phone.

Just got mine, Flossy, so we're learning together, for sure! I love this thing! The width is 👌🏼 and I gotta say I'm really digging the software overall. For sure there's going to be kinks that need to be worked out in a 1st Gen device but this might be one of the most polished 1st Gen devices I've ever used!
@@FlossyCarter So far, after two days using it as my daily driver, no real issues. I was a little spoiled from the Z Fold having that little side drawer for all my frequent apps but honestly I've already gotten used to doing things differently that doesn't really lose me much time using home screen folders. Just gotta rewire the thinking a lil bit but man I'm loving this phone and the camera destroys the ZFold IMHO.
I'm a hauwei girl but with no Google out of the box.... Kinda really hesitant about ordering hauwei fold x3. After your review on the Vivo fold 2 really thinking that's my next phone. Right now my phone is the hauweui mate 20x ...it still is an amazing phone! U sold me on the Vivo.
I like my Fold 3, but I’m ready for the next fold, not the same thing from a different brand. Form factor looks cool, but with all of the cons you mentioned this ain’t it. Let’s see if that extendable screen ever makes it to production. If the Z Flip had an S-Pen I’d still be using that. Keep up the dope reviews.
I wanna see how many common apps are more optimized for the wider front screen, as opposed to the front screen on the Galaxy Zfold4. Apps like Discord apparently still have display problems due to the more narrow resolution for the outside screen.
Personally, I think foldable phones are really kind of a niche category. In addition, between the hardware, software and size of the device it really comes down to personal preference. As far as my personal preference is concerned, I'm still not going to be racing out to purchase one. Perhaps, one day but, not this day. Especially, not at the cost of $1,800. It kind of makes me want to look at my birth certificate just to make sure that I wasn't born yesterday. LOL
@@andraspalatinus145 the best foldable phone I've seen yet is the Motorola razor plus that just came out a couple of weeks ago. At least, it has a functional outer screen. Anything less than that is a non-starter for me.
It's only niche to those without a use for it. Every person has their own wants or needs in a phone. That's why we all don't have the same phone, every style of phone has what the individual is looking for, what I want in a phone may not be the same as you or another person. I have so much use out of my fold phone for many things that was annoying with my other phones. It works better for my lifestyle than other phones do, so I got it

Was able to get mine today. I've been rocking Samsung Notes only since the Note 2 and wanted to try a foldable phone. I do not like the aspect ratio of the screen when folded of the Samsung fold so when google announced this, I decided to take the chance. So far, I like it a lot. And I didn't think I would like Google's own case for it, but it is growing on me.
Probably the first real review on YT. Couldn't agree more with everything you said, loving the design, by far the most premium phone I've ever had, side finger print sensor is a W. Battery life lasts the whole day, that's all anyone should need
This is the first folding phone I have considered. Will pass due to the reports of dust causing multiple units to die, but expected it. Curious to see how the OnePlus Fold does, but decided to give the razer a try after using an iPhone for forever.
As an actual Pixel Fold owner, unless you're throwing your phone around in the sand I don't understand how dust would cause the unit to die. It sounds absolutely ridiculous. But of course, people look for all the news to convince themselves why they should not buy the phone.
The looks of the phone is perfect the only thing holding me back is the more than likely bad battery life and the game performance with that old chipset
I'm returning mines. I'm not impressed! Most of the apps are not even in full screen on the inside like on my Fold 4. Samsung has the software down pack! Google still has a lot of optimization to do. The outside screen is a win though, but it defeats the whole purpose of unfolding.
Flossy is the goat!! Loving my pixel fold so far especially knowing what to expect. I may try Nova Launcher for a more custom look. This is why, I trust no one else for honest reviews.

Foldable phones are the absolute future though boyo. I love mine, it’s amazing… if Apple makes a folding phone I’m out, Android is showing its age.
