Ahhh man at that time (2008) I tought beats was the best, Because they were sooo expensive. 2-3 years later i discovered AKG and Sony. Around that time I also discovered this channel. My first "real" headphones were AKG Q460. I still have them and they work. Then i bought my first Sony Headphones and from that point on I only buy Sony Headphones. Keep it up Mike
Very nice video Mike. As always your video is very detail with perfect zooming on ithems. And you giving us some time to watch it "in peace" ;) a while. 👍 up
Beats have come a long way since this era. I still have my original beatbox with no Bluetooth and it still sounds as good as ever. Got it probably 5 or 6 years ago for $175 on Amazon. Last one on the website, got pretty lucky with it, and it is genuine it sounds great and gets super loud
Hi-Fi Insider exactly. I was in highschool at the time I got it and I texted my mom I was like you need to get this NOW, I paid her back and ever since then they have been selling for much more than they were originally sold for. I keep mine just on a shelf and wipe it off every once in a while to keep it clean. My cousin has one as well, he’s actually the one that made me look at them, but he bought his for the original $400 when it was new. His is still being used and we sometimes hook them up together if we’re hanging out with a daisy chain sort of aux cable. Sounds super awesome together! We both love them still!
Mike is there anything you do to take care of the leather or leatherette on headphones? I have a pair of beats pro the lil wayne edition and they finally started showing wear on the headband.
These were cheaply made. I had a pair a long time ago, bought an authentic pair from Best Buy.. the left side stopped working the same day that i purchased them. Even though i don't give a shit about beats these days, i hope that they have improved their quality control since being purchased by Apple.
You must have gotten a dud pair. I bought my Beats Solo Ear Buds in '08, & have used them pretty regularly since then. I haven't had any problems except for one of the "ear hooks" breaking. It's kind of a PITA as they don't stay in my ears without A LOT of adjusting 🙁. I just need to find some replacements on eBay.
Thank you for making this man! Time warp. These headphones were very special to me when I was a 13 year old school boy growing up
Alan Pathomkan thanks for watching the video. they are still very special to me in 2020. lol

if this was released in 2008, that makes sense as it says made for iPhone, iPod, and iPad, it the iPad was released in 2010.. that makes no sense
